runs onto Dimitar Berbatov's flick-on and produces a cool finish to Pepe Reina's left.

    1605: GOAL Liverpool 1-2 Tottenham
Paul Robinson launches a free-kick which is headed on by Dimitar Berbatov for Robbie Keane to volley home. Great goal from an in-form striker.

Keane THRIVES on a long ball game, those punts from Robinson and Berbatovs headers.
"No regrets, none at all. My only regret is that we went out on penalties. That's my only regret. But no, no regrets." -Mick McCarthy

Also 12 goals in his last 16 Premiership starts It time that he starts doing it for Ireland on a more regular basis and its time that the tactics are there to bring out the best in him.

Wigan Athletic manager Chris Hutchings is believed to be weighing up a move for Coventry City midfielder Michael Doyle ahead of the New Year transfer window.

Doyle has been in excellent form for Coventry to date this season but could be allowed to leave in January.

The Sky Blues are locked in ongoing financial turmoil, with the club facing administration after the collapse of a proposed takeover by the American-based Manhattan group at the weekend.

Former Celtic man Doyle, 26, is regarded as one of the club’s most saleable assets - and a Wigan offer in the region of £2m would be enough to seal the deal once the window opens on January 1st.

This guy should be in the squad but Stan has probably never seen him.

Did Stan play beside him at the end of his career?

tets was wondering why O'Dea hasn't been given much of a chance this season. Today confirms that he's back up to McManus. Strachan doesn't like playing the 2 left footers together for some reason. They both prefer to play on the left side of central defence but they've worked well together with McManus on the right of centre. Strachan started O'Dea at right back today, even though Caldwell would be a much better right back. McManus went off injured and then Caldwell moved out to right back for O'Dea to fill in for McManus.

    Strange one.
