Watford Academy graduate John-Joe O'Toole has signed a one year deal with the club: http://www.watfordfc.premiumtv.co.uk...105352,00.html
Anyone know if he's qualified to play for Ireland? Couldn't find anything online to say he was or not

Sheehan scored tonight from a free kick (a beauty apparently) for Leceister against Forest
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Chris McCann seems a prospect alright. Has he been capped at underage level though? I don't recall seeing him in any squads.

Faint praise from the Guardian: The City equaliser had a touch of real class as Alan Sheehan, a midfielder with a sweet left foot, if not much else, curled a free-kick over the wall and beyond Smith.

Highlight of the night (from an Irish point of view) was a Mark Yeates cross deflected into the net for Colchester's equaliser

Mark Yeates seems to be having a good season, after a few disappointing ones.

I see he replaced Hunt though so it doesn't look likely he's going to be given the opportunity to play central midfield this season.

Sven impressed with Ireland (and Johnson): http://www.mcfc.co.uk/default.sps?pa...&newsid=472624
After Wednesday night’s news that Stephen Ireland had put pen to paper on a five-year deal, a pleased Eriksson revealed: “I’m very happy he’s signed.

“He’s a very, very good footballer and one coming from the Academy, so that’s one more we have the long-term. That’s good for the Club and good for us.

“I think that he will play a very good football match for us on Saturday, he’s training very well.”
