andy Myler on the board again for Rovers again last night!!!!!
Going to start this to keep track of the various former UCD players who've departed us. Gary Dicker has recovered from injury and is playing for Stockport today, and started in midweek as well (got an assist for County's penalty today, if that's in any way significant).
Ted O'Connor scored for Kilkenny against Shels last week; he's their top scorer with 6, and seeing as he's been with them for years now (I think he joined after leaving us), he must be near enough to being their record all-time scorer at this stage.
Willie Doyle scored both goals for Monaghan as they beat Dundalk 2-0 last night; five for him. Getting back a bit of form, which is good to see.
Ciarán Martyn is back in the country after a spell in Norway. Glen is gone to St Pat's, while Ciarán Quinn is now teaming up with Mark Rooney to form a fearsome front pairing for Shels.

Impressive!
It was no problem, really.
Robbie Griffin and Stafford Quaid play on my GAA team (the Boss may be interested to know Dan Gordon is also a former member of the same team!)

Who's Chris Kelly, by the way? Never started for us, as far as I can see.
Dicker's been given the number 8 jersey at Stockport. Glowing report on the official website about his contribution on Saturday.
Some quotes from Jim Gannon here.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Heres two more... The second one has Robbie Martin in it

Kevin Grogan close to signing for Galway.
Gary Dicker started for Stockport today in their 1-0 win over Dagenham.
FAI must have released his international clearance so. Heard they'd close to forgotten.
Wide ranging reaction on the Stockport forum about Dicker - frmo very effective, to disappointing, but the negative posts did at least point out that he's been injured and he looks to have a lot of potential.
Not quite the finished article, you might say.
Just having a look over the Stockport forum there, Dicker played in their 1-0 Carling cup win over Tranmere. He's as confusing as ever with opinions ranging from not good enough to too good for the division and other players not on his wavelength!
kizzy kelly (christopher) didnt play wit UCD, hes a mate of mine, playing with castlebar, and was training with rovers u21 this summer but overage.previous spell with sligo rovers for a few years.
John Gaffney would be another player you had, now playing junior football in Sligo with Abbey United. Has some stories to tell though from UCD, them boys got up to some craic in Bondi!!
I remember Gaffney. Midfielder, got a few games under Doolin(?).
Got three games under Mahon, I think.
Stockport Mad does player ratings for every game. I'm going to assume that something as well established as the Club Name Mad website has to be vaguely independent and reliable. Gary got a 6 on Saturday and a 7 yesterday.
