That must be a record surely, 8 Irish players for one team for an English league side? They have all played for Ireland at some level, not sure about George though, that may trigger an angry Cork response.

He was fantastic in the US. A real positive.

Hopefully he'll impress MO'N. Who is Villa's first choice LB anyway?

Wilfred Bouma towards the end of the season but having got rid of J'loyd Samuel it looks like maybe O'Halloran could be the next in the pecking order (hopefully!)

McGeady set up Celtic's only goal tonight (1.05 minutes):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfmweOimgIQ

/Scott Brown scored it. Who was the Celtic fan on here writing Brown off as average? The closest young player to Roy Keane I've probably seen.

It will be difficult for him to do so. Scholes, Carrick, Hargreaves, Anderson and Fletcher ahead of him. With the money that Fergie has spent on central midfielders in the past year it seems pretty obvious what he plans for the future. Gibson needs to get out on loan, at the very least.

Michael Timlin started for Fulham in their 4-1 win over South China: http://www.fulhamfc.com/MatchAndTeam...orWinners.aspx
Timlin got the assist from a corner for the second goal, and was substituted midway through the second half. Interestingly enough he played left midfield.

I'm watching Sunderland vs Bohs, Murphy looks good, Stokes is still one of the most selfish players I've ever seen, McShane is solid at the back, Stan is in the crowd, Connolly and Miller will likely come on at the half, and theres a guy called Gavin Donoghue who's Irish who may go on

Chopra, Richardson, and John all missed incredibly easy chances, Connolly did end up going and was decent, I assume Keane is saving Miller for a homecoming so he can play 90'
