Doyle has been the best even of he's not going to win the PFA Young Player award (he would have run it close if he hadn't been injured).
Second probably Finnan or Hunt.
Close but no cigar would include fat Paddy Kenny and Dunne.
Probably I've watched more one day cricket than EPL/CL games. From what I've seen I'd go for Steve Finnan this season.

Dunne for me. Carsley also having a good season.
Finnan definitely.
Ya all that have been mentioned would be in my list:
1. Finnan
2. Hunt
3. Carsley
4. Dunne
5. Doyle (just as he missed 3 - 4 months)
San Marino are going to be a handful as the group goes on." - Steve Staunton reacts to performance against San Marino.
Kenny for me. Caught an awful lot of Sheffield United games this season and although he had a few well publicized howlers, he kept that fairly woeful team from conceding hatfuls of goals.
"No regrets, none at all. My only regret is that we went out on penalties. That's my only regret. But no, no regrets." -Mick McCarthy

hunt for me too, love his honest approach to the game
My Guarantee
Am looking for old Irish matches on VHS, PM me if you have some and I'll upload them here
I'd give it to Hunt simply for improving ten fold as a player in the space of a few months...Where he is now is remarkable achievement for anybody, and its a credit to him. He deserves plenty of plaudits.
Finnan.
Special mention to Darren O Dea who hasn't put a foot wrong for Celtic when he played for them. If only for a few months
I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.
In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.
Richard Dunne, followed by Finnan.
Harsh on Keane.. His stats this year are deceptively impressive. His seven premiership goals came from only 14 starts (with a further 8 aps coming off the bench).. 18 goals in all competitions for Spurs isn't a bad return either.
Probbly give it to Doyle for his contribution up until his injury... I just hope he doesn't go all Marcus Stewart on us!!!
keane wasnt 1st choice for most of it only over the past few mths!... he's played 22 league games and has 7 goals..... but in all comps has 18 goals in 39 games 2 off berbatov who has an extra 5 games!...... he's ahead of henry,martins,yakubu,saha,schevchenko...(i could go on) in goals in all comps this season!.
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D
Richie Foran and Gary Doherty.
Dunne has been a rock for City....
Probably doyle or hunt for me, especially where you consider these lads were last yr(championship) and 2 years ago (Eircom Lge & English Lge 1).
They play the game with a refreshing honesty & their interviews as well show how down to earth they are, no Prima-donna's there!
Ha ha ha .... nice one, good joke!
He is a very poor keeper who makes far too many mistakes, not to mention his excellent clean sheet record for ireland ... what was it, 2 games and nine conceded?
Top Irish players this season -
1.Finann - By a mile
2.Dunne - Solid
3.Doyle - Great potential
4.Keane - Playing very well since christmas

Cannot answer this question, until Rocking Ronnie gets going in the whatever they call the North American League.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!
