Well Keane certainly hasn't held back in saying that he feels Connolly, Miller and even Daryl Murphy should be in the squad. It's pretty clear to me he has his own beliefs as to why Connolly isn't included and he'd rather keep them to himself. ffs he joked last month that he wouldn't be suprised if Miller was ommitted because he was from Cork.

Jaysus Neil Read my post more carefully, I support Stan 100% in his decision not to include Connolly. Full stop.

Ya we know thats what you meant. But just out of curiousity, if we had to select the manager again, knowing what we know now, how many people would seriously choose stan before roy?

Doyle can play at full back?!?!?:

He sounds as handy as a small pot. We could use a good utility man.

Stans logic, which he dutifully explained, as it pertains to the championship strikers should clear up and lingering debate as to whether or not the man is a rank fcuking idiot.

Some of Roy's least intelligent statements ever made.

"Are you're telling me there are better players on better form than Connolly and Miller?"

Yes Roy, for the Irish team there are a few.

Honestly, who is on better form than Connolly?

Of course, Cork representation would have been higher over time if Keane had ever showed up for friendlies.

    Is he mad, or what?

Should The Peoples Republic of Cork declare war on Louth.

If they invaded Louth where do we Dubs stand.

Comes done to accents I think, which is the worst, Cork or Drogheda.

    Important issues.

Folan was the best player on the pitch before he was injured.

Some Man City reports suggest the win was due to Hamann being in instead of Ireland.

I really can not understand how he deserves it over Morrison, Connolly, Lee, or Ward, but this is better than Stokes or Long.

Finally im not the only one to realise the limitations of Ireland. Personally i feel he is ver average. Playing him would only work in a 3-5-2 system with two strong midfieldrs beside him. Never was this more evident than in Cyprus where him and Kilbane were totally played off the park in the centre of midfield. I see pure **** all reason why Ireland, who has been playing dreadful in a very poor City side deserves a place in the Irish squad ahead of Miller who is playng for very well for Sunderland who are cruising in the Championship. Players form should be taken into count just as much as the level they are playing at, Staunton obviously does not understand that

Hardly, Hamann played alongside Ireland last wednesday against Chelsea. Michael Johnson replaced Ireland, and is a similar attacking midfielder, but with more bite to his game.

McShane is playing excellent today for West Brom against Birmingham today. He has just scored and got a player sent off when he was pulled down while through on goal. He is getting forward great but interestingly he is playing right back again, while new signing Sodje was put in the centre

Ireland is a very good player but in a 4 man midfield I would play him on the right side, he would be ideal as the 3rd man in the center in a 5 man midfield.

I don't think you can afford the luxury of a player like Ireland in addition to 2 wingers. For goodness sake even Brazil have been using 2 destroyers in the center of the park for the past 15 years.

For the next 2 games Carsley must be partnered by Douglas/O'Shea/Quinn in that order of preference.
