Kenya 0 rating points despite a great showing in the previous world cup. Just shows, it's not that easy to build on success for the smaller nations. Mind you, I was passing Jobstown recently and there were some kids out playing cricket so who knows

Team are due to arrive home in about forty minutes. They'll be on the Late Late this week. John Mooney has retired from international cricket and several more squad members are expected to follow his lead. Trent Johnston has left Clontarf to join Railway Union.

I'd like to see a NZ - SA final
    The Model Club

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

My thinking was on a Sri Lanka New Zealand final, with the Kiwis shading it - shame they are meeting in the semis.

I still reckon on New Zealand beating the Aussies in the final. Consequently, I am contemplating putting money on Sri Lanka to meet South Africa in the final.

Sri Lanka 233-4 off 45 overs so look like will be setting a reasonable target for NZ.

Sri Lanka get 289, more than 100 off the last 10 overs. Tough for NZ now.

RSA 27-5 off ten overs. I'm sticking my neck out, but I fancy an Australia-Sri Lanka final.

    103 for 7 (29.3 overs).

    Recovery of sorts.

This could be a tight one - will it be over before lunch?

Should be a quality game, I expect a very close match, and maybe not high scores.

I think you mean Paul Mooney John´s older brother also i´ve been informed that Jeremy Bray has moved to The Hill´s for this season.

Yeah, it was Paul that retired. John is in the squad for the Kent game, which is composed exclusively of WC squad members (minus Rankin, who's been called up by Derbyshire.) No overseas players have yet been contracted for the Friends Provident campaign. Personally, I think we should do without (or maybe field non-qualified domestically-based players) unless the ICU can entice a top pro with international experience to impart. Bray is still with Eglinton as of now but will probably sign for The Hills shortly. Surprised Gillespie hasn't packed it in, he's looked past it at international level for a couple of years now.

I am surprised that N O'B was in that list for Sunday's game, thought he was playing for Northants.

Anyway, it is a hard game v Kent, they have some top quality players.
