Nah. If Hitler were Irish, he'd never consider being born outside the 26C would precluded you from being Irish.
This is the cooooooooooooolest footy forum I've ever seen!

    Yes I should have said

"It seems to me your only interest in 'supporting' Ireland is in promoting an extreme racial view point, even more extreme than those held by Hitler"

Thanks for pointing out how extreme such view points are - well done
You are obviously smarter than I though.

That's perhaps beause a lot of extreme racists use the internet to try and spread their propaganda. Similar views would not be tolerated in any other medium.

Folan won promotion with Hull this year and scored 9 goals this season. It'll be interesting to see how he'll cope in the Premiership, he could give us a "target-man" option up front. If he does well, he might be worth including in the next squad.

Andy Keogh is a much better player than Celeb Folan, but I agree about Long.

I think Folan might be able to become a squad regular in the future. He's tall, got a decent striking record in the Championship last year, and gives us something else up front.
Hopefully he'll keep scoring throughout the year.

Iirsh? The writing off of Long on this forum is ridiculous btw, he's only 21 ffs and he's already scored 3 times for us in his 8 caps.

As i said on another topic a little bit of optimism would be very positive.I would not like the negative posters on here to be my coach. It would be like carrying bulldozers playing for them. Can you imagine the team talk from them!

Give Long a season or 2 in the Championship, I think it will help him.

Did i not read something about him puling out of the Irish squad twice in the past year or so with injuries, despite being perfectly ok to play for Hull at the weekend. If this is true this is probably the reason he is behind Long

from an irish point of view that would be the best developement.Hopefully the villa rumours are true.

He was called up twice: both while playing for Wigan. And as far as I know, he was injured for a few weeks the first time. The second time was the USA tour, so I've no idea how injured he was or not.

I also think there's another Caleb Folan thread. May I suggest a merger?

Was not much more than a tap in but I guess you have to be in the right
place at the right time, there was a defender on the goal line too.
Given he was only on the pitch for 16 minutes + injury time he muct have
the highest strike rate in terms of goals per minute. so he should average 6 a
game if he keeps tha rate up

Glad to see him score, but to be saying he is better than Long based on one goal (a tap in at that), is a bit extreme.

Let's see how he does over the course of the season.

Long has always done well whenever he has appeared in a green shirt hence his inclusion.
