He's referring to Cork City beating Apollon.

Anyway, it turns out it's Aris Limassol he's signed for, not Apollon.

Alan Bennet released by Reading. Im sure Mattews will be sniffing around.

Good signing the above for Derby, I wish more LOI would look to Latvia, Estonia and Lituania etc and take their best players.

That is the next step for improvement, to get players from those eastern european nations, those you mentioned, and maybe Belarus, Poland etc.

Cork have some Latvian guy who played/plays for FK Riga on trial with them this week apparently. Ginst Freimanis.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Yeah Belarus and Moldova. Can't be any dearer than many of the players here. If we get their best players we could rise very quickly

And Bohs signed an FK Riga player after playing them in the InterToto (though curiously, there was no condemnation of the club as when Gent signed Dominic Foley two weeks after meeting in the same competition )

Pat's signed some Polish lad too. We've had a few Hungarians in the past, a Romanian last year and had a Slovakian on trial this year until it turned out he lied about his position.

Roy O'Donovan has gone on loan to lowly Dundee Utd for the season.

Salmon playing full game for Kilmarnock in their victory.

They're former UEFA Cup runners up and European Cup semi finalists.

Craig Levein rates Roy very highly, Looks like he'll go straight into starting 11 up front Monday night vs Hamilton and then try his luck against the Celts next Sunday. I think Both games are live on TV. Top scorer for Dundee this season eh.. Gl kid..

Former. Reims are former European Cup runners up but are still lowly!

They finished fifth last year though; not bad. Still a step down from Sunderland, which I assume is partly the original point.

Well we will see Roy O'Donovan and the great European Champions tonight against relegation favourites Hamilton.

Once a player steps down a grade they seem to get worse and we may see that tonight for Roy

I think he'll do pretty well. I could see him getting 20 goals at least over the season.

Dave Mooney scored a hattrick for Reading reserves the other day. They won 10-1.

Yep. Doing well for himself, considering he could barely get a game for Derry.

And he came off injured at half time.

Startard Sammo quote from the Killie manager "He was a real handful." Usually the away fans who say that while the home fans wonder what the away fans have been taking, but still delighted to see him do so well.
