    Oh yee of little faith.....

Total attendance was 2,781. We sold 1,368 tickets, and turned people away after the tickets had gone to Belfast and outside the ground on the night.

That leaves 1,413 in the total attendance. However - from that you need to subtract the FAI, IFA and Setanta complimentaries, as well as the small number of Derry fans that were in the Glentoran section (as guests in the suite).

As was commented on Irish League Forums by someone involved in Glentoran, we had more paying customers than they did.

There was "officially" 3,500 at Drogs v Linfield but more closely was 4,000
Hunky Dorys Park - could be worse, we could be going to Old Trafford every other week

Pats figure is official (1,678). Disgraceful that clubs only estimate figures

I would guess 400-500 maximum at Dungannon v Cork City. About 30-40 away fans.

That's not far off what they had for the visit of lowly Loughall on Boxing Day....!

Seems the IL fans just aren't taking the Setanta Cup seriously - with the possible exception of Linfield, who only found any value in it once they won it.

The home turnout at the Glens game on Monday was poor (however - that may have as much to do with their season being in freefall).

I would disagree with that. Our first ever match in the Setanta was away to Longford. We were allocated in the region of 600 tickets and despite restrictions being put on them they were sold out if I recall, not bad for a Monday night away game. Since then for games against Eircom League teams we have taken in the region of 2000 to Tolka for the final, over 1000 to Tolka for a Monday night game and sold out our allocation for the Brandywell and Drogheda. Linfield fans have always been keen on this competition. The only time we had a low turn out was for our first game away to Glentoraan which was in the wake of the bad trouble in the league game and at one point we were banned completely. We later got only 200 tickets and sold them.

What has been the biggest home crowd (excluding away supporters) by an IL club in the Setanta Cup so far? 2000?

Drogheda would have had more than that the other night. I would say we had in the region of 4000-5000 for the game against Drogheda last season and a very good crowd for the Derry game as well. Derry would have sold out at home to us although not sure of figures but certainly more than 2000.

Edit: Sorry just realised you said IL club. Probably us home to Drogheda last season.

I was at the pats game. I really think that number was pushed down . well over 2,000. Also Pats better get there act together, at 7:00 no one even knew where to get tickets it was a sham . Looked really bad and just not geood enough.

Pats fans were being turned away from the ticket office and sent to the turnstiles to get tickets on the gate (at least they were at 7.15 when I arrived.)

On the numbers at the Pats game, the official figure seemed pretty low to me. The stand holds in the region of 2,000, and it seemed fairy full to me (people standing on the camac side will be in a better position to confirm this), there was a fair amount of people on the terraces as well. In excess of 2,000 I would have thought.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

I thaught arround 2,500 was at the game. The fans in the stand started to laugh when the official estimate was read out.

I went down the Shed when it started bucketing down in the second half and both parts of the Camac looked fairly full. Definitely well more in the Shed than you'd get at a League game, even before the rain. Portadown end of the stand full. Pats end of the stand had a lot of space down towards the turnstil end.

    1600 sounds low alright.
