Ireland won by an innings and 146 runs. Two quick Johnston wickets wrapped up Bermuda's first innings for 192 before Bermuda made a positive start to their second innings. As on day one, Outerbridge and Cann amassed a sizeable partnership for the second wicket, one which was again ended by Thompson trapping Cann lbw.

Langford-Smith returned figures of 5-45, Fourie picked up his first wicket of the match and Andrew White (match figures: 7.5-2-16-5) polished off the tail. Bermuda succumbed for 186.

When are the Twenty20 games involving Ireland ?

There aren't any. The Twenty20 European Championships were scheduled to take place in Belfast in July but got cancelled because of the quadrangular series.

God knows. Probably an FP game next April. There was talk of a tour to New Zealand or Bangladesh over the winter but the ICU can't afford it.

Ireland's Boyd Rankin and Niall O'Brien have been approached by the breakaway Indian Cricket League. Rankin hopes to sign next week. The implications for their continued participation in ICC-sanctioned events are as yet unclear.

Andr� Botha, Kyle McCallan, Trent Johnston, Eoin Morgan and Niall O'Brien are among the eighteen nominees for the ICC Associate ODI Player of the Year award. Caitriona Beggs has been shortlisted for the womens' award.

The ceremony takes place in Johannesburg on September 10th.

North County have won a record fourth Irish Senior Cup after defeating The Hills by 105 runs in today's final at Castle Avenue. North County batted first and scored 259-8 from their 50 overs. Andr� Botha top-scored with 84 but North County were wobbling somewhat after a strong start when the Mooney brothers, Paul and John, came together. Each scored 31 and helped North County to a competitive total.

When Reinhardt Strydom removed Jeremy Bray with just 13 on the board in the Hills's reply, North County scented blood. Nonetheless, The Hills recovered somewhat until an Andr� Botha hat-trick (the second wicket-taking delivery of which shattered leg-stump in two) effectively sealed the game. Legspinner Richie Lawrence took 5-35 and young seamer Eddie Richardson the decisive wicket of Nadeem Akhtar. Andr� Botha was unsurprisingly adjudged man-of-the-match by Ireland coach Phil Simmons.

The victory maintains North County's record of winning the tournament in alternate years from 2001.

Disappointing day for the Hills. Deserved MOM for Botha. Barry Archer and young Patrick Byrne made a fist of the bating for the Hills but unfortunatley they were on the back foot after Bray went for 9. Bragging rights to Balrothery for this year. Glum faces around Skerries last night.

Rush moved a step closer to winning the league on sunday after beating clontarf by 50 odd runs. On a personal level it would be great to see them win the league since my dad was captain when they won promotion to senior B.

Rush: The only place in my 24 years of cricket where we have NEVER got an lbw decision from the opposition umpires and I exaggerate not.

Try playing Old Elvedere. I've never played their firsts or seconds, but their thirds wouldn't even give you a coin for the toss! Have any of you lot played down here?

Well you should be able to improve your batting average there. One of the smallest grounds I've seen.

Excellent wicket in Rush though and the first ever century scored against our club was up there with the ball being deposited over the white walls with great regularity by a guy called Robert Ryan. I think that was his one and only game for the club (banger

Rob has been playing for us for a few years now, he was player of the year last year, although as far as I know he hasn't been available this season

Clontarf moved closer to the Leinster title today with a 49-run win over North County thanks to 48 and 4/43 from Andrew Poynter. Victory (or a rain abandonment, which looks likely) against Merrion tomorrow will clinch the title. Rush are currently top but have completed their programme.

Railway Union's galacticos have been relegated to League B after a badly rain-affected season.

Ireland will compete in the East Midlands group of next season's Friends Provident Trophy. Their opponents will be Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. The format of the competition is home-and-away round robin.
