Born in Ireland, raised in Ireland, lived here until he was 21. Now settled abroad. Definitely "our" rugby leaguer. Unless you think differently?

Well, i am just quoting what he said, i want to go home to THE UK, to MY FAMILY, infering is family is from the uk, playing for a team called Great Britain, that dropped the Irish and Ireland part from their name.... I am buying a flat over here, but If i go to america or australia, I am never going to call "home" the UK!!!! Nor would most people who consider themselves "Our only"....

    How is he?

Oh and another thing, were does he mention the UK? Only thing he mentions is home. The aussie media say the UK. He makes a point in saying he's not going back to Great Britain to play rugby. If he's going home to finish his education, it'd be safe enough to say he's coming back to Ireland, where he earned his primary degree...

Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

does the GB rugby league team not include Ireland as part of their union.
They have 4 crests on the jersey a (shamrock for Ireland), I know thats sounds really wrong.

Look, horses for courses MAYBE, but even plastics over here say home as in ireland. Unless of course you are trying to make the distinction like "home-home" or "out-out"

no it is, if you say your home is in the UK and your family are from the UK, what does that mean to you?

Ireland is no longer part of the UK, just to let you know.
You're wrong Soper. As usual. Ask paul...

I'm confused Now that Carney's not playing rugby anymore should he ask his family to wrap a green flag around themselves and move to Éire so someone doesn't come around and take his Irish citizenship away from him?

Maybe Carney meant he was going home to his wife and kids in South Dublin and was calling that the UK And Ed Joyce is from Wicklow - what's the constitutional status of that county?
