Maybe Carney meant he was going home to his wife and kids in South Dublin and was calling that the UK
we all know south dublin is just another "shire" and wicklow now fits into "south county dublin" :P

We all know the K-Club is in Dublin, remember the Ryder Cup, the commentators always saying, ''here in Dublin''.

Proper order too - just like Drogheda should be proud of it's location within the Pale. All hail the Greater Dublin megalopolis!

paul, the so bit could mean that he wants to come home to ireland to reunite with his family, and because we are closer to the uk, its easier for him to finish his study. then again maybe his family is some odd 'lets forget we are irish' church congregating in wigan.

when i heard the news i was thinking more along the lines of would he come 'home' to play for leinster or munster
