Think next league will be stonger even still than last year. More full time teams a new renewed ambition around with the the new FAI league.
Drogheda look like they are really starting to come together. Still have young team but with Cahill, Byrne, they are adding league medal experience.
Still think it will be hard for teams to break into the top 3/4. Bohs could if they make a few more signings.
Pointless thread really as most teams will have quite different looking squads come kick off.
Sure, they'll have different looking squads after the July transfer window as well, ffs.Originally Posted by gustavo

Shels still have the nucleus of a very good team. Derry will be in transition. Cork haven't strengthened enough. Possibly could be the tightest title race in a long time with a lot of teams still in at the end.

Why? Because we have brought in a new manager? We expect to win the league this year. Last year we expected to challenge. We have got rid of a few very average squad footballers and I'm sure Fenlon is going to replace them with quality. On top of that we have a very young squad who have had the experience of losing the league on the last day of the season 2 years on a trot. They want to win it big time this year. So do the fans, expectation is high, our limit of 1800 season tickets sold.
Drogheda should be up there but I doubt Doolin is the man to win the league for them.
As Irishmen we dilute our sense of nation by depending on the English to bring us our balls

I have visions of Connor blowing a lot of Bohs money on failings from England & The North...Paul Brown anyone?
galway, as it stands, are the ONLY team that might finish below us...
look, you've got into the premier, fine, but ffs get rid of the attutide that your gonna win the champions league in five years![]()
FACT is galway at present have a WEAKER squad then that which finished third in the first division.

Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
imo most players at GUFC are actually better suited for the premier div than the first div. GUFC under Tony Cousins are a footballing side and with current additions and some more in the pipeline should do reasonably well.
in no way shape or form will GUFC finish bottom. imo will be 10th or higher.
Longford Town and Bray to finish below us with Derry as champions, Drogheda second and cork third. Shels mid table at best!
