    Assuming Sir Bobby is Done

Do you think it would be possible for Big Jack to come back as Stan's advisor? I know he chose to limit his interaction with football, but he knows Stan, and everyone knows, Stan needs help.
So would Jack maybe do it?

    no.

the game has changed too much since big Jack's time.

I made this point before, but why do we have an international consultant? Can Stan not get a bit of free advice from his contacts in the game .. he's played under Jack, Taylor, Mick, Atkinson, Souness, Dalgish .....

actually looking at that list maybe he does need a consultant ;-)

Robson to resume Ireland role after overcoming health scare

    13:09 Tuesday October 17th 2006

The FAI has announced that Bobby Robson will be resuming his role as consultant to Ireland manager Steve Staunton following his recent health scare.

Robson held talks with Staunton and FAI boss John Delaney today to discuss his future in the role following his recent surgery to remove a brain tumour.

He has missed Ireland's last four games because of the health setback, but the FAI said today that he had been cleared by his medical team to resume his Ireland duties.

Mr Delaney said the 73-year-old would be seeing out the remainder of his two-year contract and would be linking up with Staunton and the Irish squad for next month's Euro 2008 qualifier against San Marino.
