    T.Owens in attempted suicide

    Breaking news story.
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

    Good grief. That's unreal.
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

Some reports coming in now, saying that his publicist was with him at the time and that he had mixed up his pain pills with his supplements. She called rescue because he had become unresponsive. It looks like he has been discharged from the hospital, so I'm sure we'll hear more later. Cops may have jumped the gun, reporting that it was an attempt to take his own life.

Hold the phone guys TO has come up with a very plausible explanation. I'm following it on ESPN.

He's claiming it wasn't a suicide bid and that he was so out of it on the meds he's meant to be on that he didn't know what the cops were saying. Despite this seeming crazy the reports about him before this alleged attempt mentioned how he had been reacting badly to the meds.

The cops and fire brigade have been back tracking big time.

He's probably the best known American football player too.

Yeah he is now but before his run to the Super Bowl with Philly I reckon he wasn't that well known outside the States compared to the likes of Tom Brady.

If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

He's the quarter back of the New England Patriots and seen by many as the next Joe Montana due to his similarity in style and ability to get it done in the big games.

He's seen as a real 'All-American guy' and is often referred to as the face of the NFL by broadcasters.

Oh and please don't ask who Joe Montana is.

Owens ain't all there, it was a risk for the cowboys to take him on. great talent but he has problems.

Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

    Tom Brady.

he is only really known in ireland cos of his irish links, his gran-da being from clare, and that "cap" he always wears because he got it off his gran-da!!!! i don't see how he is the "all-american" and dodge i dont know that many but owens would be the least one i knew of all and that includes college football too.

Thats why I said probably, and why I said in the US...

Brady is most certainly portrayed as the blue eyed All American hero. If you asked 100 non NFL fans here to name an American Footballer I'd guess none would know any bar OJ Simpson or The Fridge so its all relative. Within the US, Owens and Michael Vick have the most celebrity attached

I reckon that Joey Harrington would probably get a fair few mentions too.
