Roy Keane doesn't take long to make a judgement on a player, as Clive Clarke has found out

    From BBC:

Reading are interested in signing QPR's 27-year-old midfielder Kevin Rowlands. (News of the World)

Personally I think Martin Rowlands is a better player, Kevin being the eccentric frontman of Dexy's Midnight Runners!

Man City's U-18's hammered their Liverpool counterparts 4-0 this afternoon. City's line up included Ian Daly and Karl Moore, with Donal McDermott coming on as a sub, while Shane O'Connor and Michael Collins lined out for the reds.

Come On Eileen is a great song, but Martin is doing quite well and could break our senoir squad soon

Michael Doyle scored for Coventry last night. Clive Clarke played left back and Jay Tabb came on for last 5 minutes. No sign of Kevin Thornton.

Whats the word on young Kevin?I remember a quote from Mickey Adams such as "He knows what he has to do" which sounded a little ominous.

    leicester v palace 1-1

Logan played and Maybury made the bench mainly due to injuries, he didnt see any action but was involved in some very show-offy keepy-uppy at h.t. with Momo Sylla.

Logan was at times over cooking his kicks in squaly conditions and had little enough to do for long periods, to be fair to him he had absolutely no height to hit from his kicks anyway, due to a few injuries hitting the squad. he had two key saves in the game, one from Morrison after a mix up at the back for leicester which kept at one each and one in injury time from a one on one with Freedman when he did brilliantly coming out quickly and saving at the feet.it saved the point for his side.

for palace, Morrison was in and out of the game, he hit a post in the first half and was getting touch tight to the c.b.'s a lot and rolling them well and showing for it quite a bit but it wasnt really happening for him. Kennedy, on the other hand was superb, dictated the pace of it totally in the first half, everything went through him in the middle and in the second half, as his side were outplayed he got through a load of work, tracking back very well and organising his side, even chasing down and catching breaking wingers and fullbacks to nick the ball out of play on a couple of occasions. in the entire game i never saw him give the ball away despite looking for and generally finding a forward pass.best player out there comfortably.

    O.S. report here:http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page...~33322,00.html

heres Logan on the unbeaten run which has coincided nicely with his breaking into the side:http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page...915864,00.html

Colin Larkin scored against West Ham in the Carling Cup, Alan O'Hare had an assist on Folan's goal, and Barry Roche let in a bad goal (nice shot, but Roche was in terrible position) all for Chesterfield against West Ham

    leicester v villa 2-3

only Maybury on display for us in this one, and he had a decent game, seemed at home in, and more motivated than usual by, the atmosphere and big crowd and higher general standard of the play than CCC league games. he started at r.b. and ended it on the right of midfield.

McCarthy was again ruled out by his nose injury and no sign of Logan, not on the bench even, maybe because of a finger injury he hinted at in a piece i posted a link to yesterday. time will tell on that one. some posters on the leicester sites felt he might have come for palaces opener on sat. hard to know.

one things for sure, his replacement,Henderson, made the most of the chance with a m.o.t.m. performance saving a Barry pen a couple of topclass point blank saves to boot.

O.S. report here, scant Irish interest in it:http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page...~36257,00.html

Robbie Keane and Shane Long scored
Keane's was a just a hard shot off a cross
    and I think
Long's was a head in off a a free kick (pretty much from 1 yard out I think)

Paddy McCarthy is back in training.from the bluearmy site.

    McCarthy return a real headache!

Leicester City manager Robert Kelly admits he faces a selection headache when club captain Paddy McCarthy returns from injury.

Mccarthy is back in training with a protective face mask to shield the broken nose he sustained in the victory over Southampton two weeks ago.

City's trip to QPR tomorrow is likely to come to soon for the 23-year-old. But when McCarthy is ready to make his comeback, Kelly admits that the form of players like Gareth McAuley and Patrick Kisnorbo in his absence has given him a welcome selection dilemma.

"Paddy McCarthy has trained with a face mask, but it might be a big ask for him to play," said Kelly. "He was doing terrifically well before he got injured.

"All credit to the other defenders who have come in because they have done really well.

"When he is fit it's going to be a dilemma, but they are the type of selection dilemmas that you want."

Alan Lee had a great game (got hattrick) for Ipswich v Luton. He dominated the Luton defence, and had a great game in terms of work rate. His aerial ability gives us an extra option and I would start him an Doyle upfront for us if we had a match next week.

Billy Clark played most of the game too, did ok, lots of effort but no end product this time. The Ipswich goalie (Supple) is Irish too, looks about 15 years old - had an ok game but not really tested.

From the Luton point of view, Foley was ok, but gave away a pen at the end.

Is Ian Harte still injured at Levante, doesnt seem to make the squad these days.
