Joe O'Cearuill from Arsenal hasn't ever declared for Ireland has he? Also whatever happened to Matthew Connolly? He has jumped ship now hasn't he as has Leon Best.
Donal McDermott played for Man City's reserves side against Newcastle's second XI. The Toon came from 3-0 down to win 4-3! No sign of Alan O'Brien, Stephen Ireland or Garry Breen, so they could be involved in their respective clubs games this week, City play Chesterfield tomorrow in the League Cup and Newcastle travel to Anfield in the Premiership.

I think Connolly has jumped ship. Best is no loss if Bournemouth is the best he can do at this stage. He's never actually impressed me anyway.
Also James Simmonds at Chelsea has jumped ship too, no? He's been purged from the FAI website in very Stalin-esque fashion.
Only updates on Simmonds I've found online are a string of U17 caps Simmonds got for England in late 2003. I've searched within FAI website and "James Simmonds+Ireland" on google and found nothing.
Looks like he has jumped ship: http://www.thefa.com/England/U17s/Ne...r_profiles.htm
I'll leave Simmonds in for a while as he hasn't got an England call up since he was called up to our underage squads. His uncle was on soccercentral last year:
Simo for Ireland!!!! He is an outstanding prospect. Damien Duff has been giving him lots of encouragement at Chelsea. God bless the "Duffa". He has had to pull out of the game in Bari as he has damaged ankle ligaments but should be back in training in a few weeks.
Brian Kerr presented his Ireland cap at a big do in Dublin, he got his England cap through the post!! No contest.
The FAI sent him a fantastic letter when he declared recently welcoming him and his family ( Kerry and Donegal) God bless Brian!
Choosing Ireland ahead of England came from James's heart. We are all brimming with pride as he is living out all our dreams. Who knows God willing, he may one day be at Landsdowne Road , singing the soldiers song?
Keep an eye out for him
Come on you bhoys in green!!

Cillian Sheridan scored another brace for Celtic U19s. Skinner and Carey also started with Cahillane on the bench.

He played left back. I've seen him play 2 or 3 times in his best position at centre half for the reserves and he looked decent, if rarely tested. Tonight he seemed to like the long ball but got in a few nice crosses. He lacked pace but was never beaten. Impossible to tell how good he could be though.
David McGoldrick is missing from the list of Southampton players, he scored tonight against Millwall.
According to his soccerbase profile, he is Irish: http://www.soccerbase.com/players_de...playerid=37797

Always look on the bright side of life
He was born in Nottingham and has never played for Ireland afaik so I don't know why he's listed as Irish on a few sites.
He definitely seemed impressive judging by the BBC report. He was also apparantly their best player in the 2-0 defeat to Aberdeen.
Did ex Pats player Stephen Quinn play for Sheffield United?

Fantastic to read that about Stokes.
Stephen Quinn came on as sub at half-time last night. Alan Quinn started. John Fitzgerald played for Bury, Brian Barry-Murphy unused sub.
Paul McShane played full 90 again for WBA. Mixed game according to the Guardian:
Odejayi capitalised on a defensive mistake by Paul McShane to slide the ball past Pascal Zuberbuhler. But McShane atoned three minutes into the second half with a volleyed cross that Ronnie Wallwork stooped to head past Shane Higgs.
