Aiden McGeady opened the scoring for Celtic against Dunfermline today, cracking goal too, curled it into the far corner from the edge of the area.
O'Dea made his first start in defence, and could have opened the scoring with a nice turn and shot from a corner.

Paul Skinner kept a clean sheet as Celtic's U-19's thumped Dumbarton's U-19 side 6-0 at Celtic Park on saturday, with Graham Carey, Cillian Sheridan and Paul Cahillane all getting on the scoresheet.

No full match review on Dumbarton's site, just a quick mention here: http://www.dumbartonfootballclub.com...e=view&id=1281

    wolves v leicester 1-2

with McCarthy suspended and Logan dropped following being beaten 3 times from distance last time out, and also failing to ultimately convince on corners lately, Maybury was the only Irish player for leicester on sat, with Breen playing for wolves and Potter an unused sub.

It was an amazing goal IMO, I thought he was about 40 yards out? Matty Taylor-esque...without the volley of course.

David Connolly just scored a 'unbelievable' injury-time equaliser for Sunderland. From what I could get from the radio, he said he got the ball 30 yards out, flicked it over his head, and volleyed it from 25-30 yards out.

Apparantly Stephen Ireland was excellent yesterday, as was S.Quinn in the same match.

Half term marks on Richard Dunne and Stephen Ireland from http://www.manchestereveningnews.co....ime_marks.html
RICHARD DUNNE: Has the odd blip but remains one of the most consistent, able and totally committed players. 8
STEPHEN IRELAND: Just beginning to blossom and much could rest on his cultured shoulders in second half of season. 6
Incidentally, Ireland had more than twice the nearest player for the MOTM poll against West Ham, despite being substituted for the eventual goalscorer Beasley

He's doing well. I was a bit worried when Pressley signed that there was a little too much competition for him behind McManus, Caldwell and Balde plus Pressley. Are the aforementioned trio injured? O'Dea and Pressley started centre back with Paul Lawson the only defender on the bench.
