At the moment it looks like Prospect and Cappamore going up to 1A next year. Either one of them would need to throw it away.

He is right geraldines are bad. Have been for a while. But they have a good minor/17s team coming through. They need to hold onto as many of those players as possible. They might get a return to the premier in a few years time if they do manage to hold onto them.

Lets face it, The Dines have always had good minor/17's teams coming through but for one reason or another the club never seem to hold on the players long enough to get up to the Prem League and the few they do hold on to end up leaving after a few years anyway.

If I was to start a list of players that played with Geraldines in the last 8-10 years I could name a team that would be challenging for top honours in all comps, including the FAI.

    3) HTwon Pl 16 / Pts 32. (Max Pts 50)
    4) Coonagh Pl 17 / Pts 28. (Max Pts 43)

    7) Cadvin Pl 15 / Pts 23. (Max Pts 44)
    8) Shannon Pl 16 / Pts 22. (Max Pts 40)
    9) Dines Pl 15 / Pts 17. (Max Pts 38)
    10) Balla Pl 15 / Pts 14. (Max Pts 35)
    11) Abbey Pl 18 / Pts 6. (Max Pts 18)
    12) Croom Pl 17 / Pts 0. (Max Pts 15)

    Sunday 02.04.06
    Summerville v Balla
    Croom v Herbertstown

    Tuesday 04.04.06
    Balla v Star Rvs
    Shannon v Coonagh
    Caherdavin v Abbey Rvs
    Geraldines v Summerville

If Summerville win their next 2 above games they will go 2 pts ahead of Corbally with Corbally having a game in hand over Summerville, so I wouldnt rule Summerville out just yet, considering Corbally and Herbertstown still have to play each other as well.

is there any one who can tell me how star are top of 1A. i saw them play kennedy park yesterday and they were useless. they'll need at least 7 players if they are to stay premier next year. they were lucky to win on penalties.

Mr.Ryan I am presuming that yesterday was your first time watching Star this season,

If you had seen us earlier in the season you would have noted yesterday that we were missing numerous players for one reason or another.

    Missing were,
Geoffery Joyce, Graham Carey, Brian Doherty, Dave Costelloe, Kevin Hogan, Johnathan Griffin, Derek Hannon, John Barry, & Derek Mc,

On top of that we had to play 3 minor players and also had to play with 3 players that were carrying injuries,,,

Yes, I agree we were poor but in all fairness our minds are firmly set on the league and yesterday was by far our worst performance of the season, but as they say " a win is a win" and we are through to the next round.

and thats just of the top of my head, I'm sure their are others that have played with the Dines that would come into the above list.

You can add Derek Hannon, Pa Moloney & Dave (Farmer) Moloney to that list as well as Davey Wall.

Clifton Markham?? if so he hasnt played for the Dines in about 15 years,
but you could also add John Collopy to the list of players I metnioned above.

Pick your starting eleven from the list and they would easily be top of the Premier League or there abouts.

The ldmc website didnt take long to go slack, did it?
We played Abbey this day last week and it has yet to be updated.
Last updated was on 27th March, what a joke.

    Fixtures for tonight.

    Tuesday 04.04.06
    Balla v Star Rvs
    Shannon v Coonagh
    Caherdavin v Abbey Rvs
    Geraldines v Summerville

Abbey and Croom could be relegated tonight, if Abbey lose or draw to Caherdavin and Balla beat us, then both Abbey and Croom will be officially relegated (thats if Abbey have played 18 and not 17 games, can someone confirm??, maybe AbbeyFan, if your still alive and well).
