Worm, you're in denial now, take Roger's advice, you still need that counselling.
Denial about the thread? Look at the ****ing dates! No posts for 3 months and the mods moved this thread in here.
I'm leaving for 2.5 weeks in about 30 minutes, so I won't be able to keep up this excellent arguement with this board's finest, but I assure you you will be in my thoughts

Are you going on a pilgrimmage to Willesden? The birthplace of David Connolly?

i agree , worm is a far better handle than david connolly !
as for my username worm it's a throwback to happy times and an example of the romance of the world cup and what an amazing festival it is when an (undoubtedly talented) auld fella could have everyone feeling young again.

will you give us a hand on the you tube thread in the fans forum ?

I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.

See everyone, its not my fault this thread keeps coming back.

If he scores against Liverpool (2nd best team in Europe, probably in the world, if you go by last year) or Man U (best team in (debatably) the best league in the world, as of last year) in the next two weeks (not to mention Birmingham) he should be in the squad for Denmark. Same with Murphy and Stokes, though I expect they will be anyway. And no, everyone, I don't care what you think...if you haven't noticed, you can't change my mind

David Connolly has scored as many important goals for Ireland as Lee Trundle has. None. 40 games and 9 goals. 4 competitive = hat trick vs Lichestenstein and one against Cyprus.

The much loved Connolly thread is back and heading for 10,000 views! The thread reflects Connolly - you just can't get rid of him.

Not far off the full set - David Connolly, Ian Harte, Is Robbie Keane any good?.

What we need is a Saipan debate.

I didn't see a wink there so I'll assume your serious, my question to you is, are you ****ing kidding?
I clearly stated that is was not me who brought it back, blame danonion or whoever it was. We'll have to wait and see how the next 2 weeks unfold though before I argue for him to be back in the squad though

Connolly is one useless spud if ever I saw one. Failed everywhere eventually but Excelsior and Wimbledon
