    Monaghan United women's team

Monaghan United have decided to set up a Women's football team and will be holding trials in the near future (i.e. next few weeks) keep an eye on the Standard, Website and here for updates. We have management in place and are just trying to sort a training time. We hope to register with the North Dublin League (where Dundalk and Drogheda also play) in the coming weeks depending on interest.

If you are interested in playing (or have a wife/girlfriend/sister/daughter) who is over 17 and wants to play in a highly competitive league please keep your eyes peeled for Trial dates as Team is to be selected and start training prior to Christmas.

Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

Well I know of two excellent soccer players from Monaghan who played Colleges soccer for DCU . If there are any more like them United could be a force in the game. They would be a welcome addition to the League. It would make a change to have a Monaghan United team playing in a League peopled mostly with Monaghan people
