Hardly. He's a liability in every game he plays there.

He's so slow and gets turned far too easily.

Thought Clark did very well against Wales; looked comfortable, solid and assured. Like O'Shea, I think he could be equally handy in a number of positions, including LB. Lots of people are writing him off because of the Uruguay game, but inevitably it'll take him - or any other LB option - a few games to get properly settled in. If Clark starts and plays well against NI and Scotland, I'd have no problem with him becoming first-choice. That said, with Dunne out, we'll need all the experience we can get in Macedonia, and Kilbane hasn't been a liability for us lately.

Huddersfield were beaten 3-0 today in the League One play-off. Was Kilbane not just on loan to them? Does he go back to Hull next season so?

Really great game yesterday, he was the highlight of our back 4. If it weren't for Keane scoring a brace he'd be the man of the match.

Now theres something I NEVER thought I'd say. o_O

He was definitely the best of our back 4 but that is not saying much. He looked shaky at times and his distribution was awful. Kilbane has grown on me over the years and I'm a huge fan but at this stage of his career his legs really seem to have gone and looks like he's running in slow mo these days. Can't see him starting after the summer. (How many times has this been said though?)

Killer reminds me of John McClane. With each new installment you remark to yourself 'he shouldn't still be doing this' but he brings you 'round, kills some terrorists and saves the world in the end.

Given a few years to grow into the role Killer can be our left back for a couple of decades (at least) if he looks after himself and does'nt allow himself to get carried away by the razmatazz and the other distractions !

Always thought of him more like Rocky myself, no one rates him but he always goes the distance, gives every thing he has, and even comes out on top on occasion. Some seem to think that once Mick was gone his career should have been over but he just keeps coming back and I'm glad he does. Lets hope he has the same performance in Russia that Rocky did as well.

    We should be so lucky.

Just completed a loan move to Derby. Good to see him back in the championship.

That looks like a very good deal for Derby and an odd one for Hull.

Nearly brought a tear to my eye reading it, it will be weird playing a Qualifier without him and were it not for a generally-despised diminuitive striker he'd be far and away my favorite Irish player.

Feel genuinely gutted. Can't remember the last time there was no Zinedine in a competitive squad. Said it all that I hadn't even done my Junior Cert at that stage!!! Now,look at me.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but what/when was our last competitive game without him?

Macedonia in October '99. Gary Kelly and Mark Kennedy played on the flanks.

After some hours of settling it is apparent that without our inspirational leader or engine we play like ****.
