If I had time to go through Bohs signings say from 2019 to 2024 I would be confident off-season 2022 was the juncture Bohs recruitment woes started to hit while increasing the budget and recruitment deteriorated further under Fenlon
Think it was 9 alright. Clarke and Afolabi were the picks of that sorry bunch. McDaid may still be at the club but he hasn’t been great.

My point was that recruitment was bad before he took up the DOF role and I wouldn’t be laying the blame of our poor recruitment after then solely at his feet. I’ve said it before that if he was sacked in the morning, I wouldn’t expect a sudden upswing in the quality of our recruitment. Lot more people involved in the process - Officially & unofficially in my view.

As an aside to that, Glens are rumoured to be after Ben Doherty, and looking to pay him £3k a week.
Possibly seems a bit too mad to be true.

Strong rumours going about that Jordan McEneff is moving to Larne, and Higgins has a couple of new signings lined up.
Need a centre half badly, IMO.

    Best of luck Danny, not.

Must be personal reasons or something up with that medical he failed? Just can't see why he'd return otherwise given he did well in England and had interest from clubs there.

Well if this has anything to do with it at the very least Rovers may be able to add him to the list of injured talismans for when there are poor results.

I’m guessing there’s part of 4 million reasons that helped him make his mind up!

Signed only till end of the season. Probably sees it as an opportunity to impress over the next few months and get a move.

Said he has offers from other clubs in Britain too. Unusual one.

Bit of a Euro bonus might make it worth his while, and put him in a nice shop window too?

4 or 5 grand a week and a bonus at the end of it post Europa duties, and then possibly off to MLS or something.

Great signing for the Champions, I was gutted when he left after only 1 year. Supposedly turned down a decent financial offer from Pat's as well. I had a feeling he was coming back when I heard he was at the game the other night.

Has he been training with them for a while? I saw him in south William st a few weeks ago, when I thought he would have been in England doing pre season.

pretty sure I read somewhere that his bird had a lot to do with the decision.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

He’s only signed for 6 months. Hardly a life changing commitment.

How useful will he be without a preseason ?

They have a minimum of 17 -19 games left to play this season. I'd imagine he won't be registered for POAK so 15 minimum and 17 maximum depending on if they're in the ECL or EL. Plenty of time to be able to get up to speed and contribute by the time they start playing group stage football I reckon. Overage players can play for the u20's so he'll probably be getting minutes very quickly while being on the bench for the 1st team for a few weeks.

That's fair. I would say he would be especially handy for Europe.
