Jaros is off winning leagues in Austria and getting called up to Euros squads so we'd be doing well to!

With Anang I always gave him a bit of leeway because realistically he was only on loan to us and almost any player would take a club of Derby's stature over any LOI side. Maybe it wasn't handled the best, although maybe given that he's back that wasn't as much the case as it seemed. Either way he's actually a Pats player now which is an important distinction, and on a decently long contract to boot. Rogers is a relatively safe pair of hands but Anang is a different level, pleasantly surprised to see him return.

Jaros seems to have kicked on to another level this year, winning the Austrian League & Cup, making his senior Czech Republic debut and the squad for the Euros and earning a new contract with Liverpool. It’s fair to say he’ll never play at this level again.

On Anang's departure in 2022, reading all the quotes on it at the time, Clancy seemed to have nothing but good things to say about Anang even after he’d left, but noted that he was seemed to be badly advised by his agent so it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the club’s stance on it also. He may well have changed agent since then

Ah yeah, my Jaros comment was pie in the sky wishful thinking. I know Jaros is well out of our league now. As you say, Anang is an upgrade on Danny Rogers, so it’s good news. Hopefully this means Pitiluga is off back to Liverpool. Can’t see him having a hope in hell of making the grade there.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

Alfie Taylor's loan from Hull to Pats has been ended. Didn’t play a single minute of league football (not injury related). Another terrific signing he turned out to be. I'd imagine Arran Pettifer will be released soon too, having also not played since getting sent off about 25 mins into his debut in a LSC game against St Mochta's

A couple of confirmed departures from Harps:

Sean O'Donnell - Hofstra University (USA)
Chris Lotefa - End of loan back to Bohs
Shane McMonagle - Released for personal reasons.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.

Pats are after Danny Mandroiu although he has better financial offers in League One. Here’s hoping the friends/family/partner put a bit of pressure on to get him home He’d be a brilliant signing for anyone in the league

I’d be amazed to see Danny back if he has offers in England

Disappointed to see Treatys longest serving and most exciting player Willie Armshaw leave the club, cant say i blame him as Barrett never trusted him ,constantly on the bench or at times bizzarely subbed off despite being the teams main threat in many games. Thanks for your service Willie a real fans favourite.

scored plenty of goals and assists with a team that were unlucky to not malke the playoffs following a late good run.
Would have decent offers for sure in the UK, At his age if he bins the UK off he is horribky badly advised (not withstanding i dont know anything about his personal circumstances)
    Cant see it

Yeah he seems to have at least 6 League One offers. Kenny was asked about it in the press conference during the week and he says he expects him to remain in England too

Hard to know what to make of him. Obviously he was seriously unlucky with the serious illness, poor chap could have died. He scored that wonder goal v Rovers last year and was Gibraltar's best player in Dublin but then again it's probably easy for a defender to look good in that team if they make a few blocks and tackles on the day compared to what's around them. It just never happened for him at Dundalk.

Ah he was poor overall, number 1 priority for a centre half is to win the ball, he was far too laid back, the classic SOD type to pass the ball around his own half or in his own box (both shouldn't count for stats), could pass a ball, but overall not good enough for LOI PD.

As a side note even in his 'home' patch he had a dreadful game away in Gibraltar last summer in Europe. Replacement due this week, on loan from Doncaster, hopefully a wee bit more of a **** brick house type !
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

"Two or three" new signings coming before the Galway game for Bohs according to Reynolds' interview after the game tonight. Only player I've seen linked so far is Alex Greive who is a New Zealand International attacker at St Mirren.

Danny Mandroiu and Greg Sloggett were in Richmond earlier, both having been linked to Pats recently. Absolutely no way I can envisage the former actually choosing to sign for us, but I could see Sloggett being fairly useful if it went through.

It'll be interesting to see who comes and goes in the next few weeks. It's great to see business being done early as well. That was a big issue at the start of the season.
