Why is there only 14 matches on this weekend when the league is miles behind in games. They should be putting on as many games every Sunday. The league should start playing league cup games every Friday night's in clounreask to try and get them out of the way so the season doesn't go on and on.
Playing Cup games in Clounreask makes sense, therefore it's not happening

Back at the AGM in the summer it was suggested the last 4 league games of the season should be played at the same time in the interest of fairness. This was agreed by the clubs on the night, this could cause more delays to a season already badly affected by weather. Should the league scrap this rule for this season?
If that amalgamation goes ahead why would junior games be in the Demesne? I'd reckon they'd alternate, the Desmesne needs a bit of an upgrade too re drainage so might give them a chance to complete works there while using Woodfield. It's all only ifs and buts at the moment anyway but I can't see them using one over the other - both will be kept & used.
In relation to the Desmond Youths, shame to see that happen or to give a walkover in any inter-league competition - you don't know what the reason was Shearer?
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YA BEAUTY! What a hit son... what a hit!
This is all just theoretical. I would imagine Woodfield would be used pre-dominantly for Schoolboys due to the two pitches. I'm sure both grounds will get their bit of Junior Soccer anyway.
In regard to the Desmond Youths I'm not actually sure but to the best of my knowledge they were out of the competition going into the Waterford game anyway while Waterford needed a win. Desmond Youths have been a joke the last few years sadly.
I dont agree with league or any other cup games being played in Clounreask, why should teams give up home advantage when Clounreask would suit some teams more than others, clubs know if they get to any domestic final its played in Clounreask, and they have had their fair chance in the draws in the previous rounds to be home or away
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YA BEAUTY! What a hit son... what a hit!
The best from the Kennedy Cup teams progress onto U15/17/19 League of Ireland with either Limerick FC or Kerry now.
The Desmond League is most likely switching to calendar season football after this season so I'd imagine the best lads of what's left will more than likely stay playing in the better weather.
The bad weather/lack of games tended to drive a lot to play GAA/Rugby instead of football after Kennedy Cup.
Hopefully that will change now...

I believe the game started but askeaton only had 8 players. Lost 2 after 20 mins so referee had no choice but to call off..
fair enough thanks, just seemed strange seeing two different events
Here's a stat for you:
After 9 league games, Glin Rovers have 15 points on the board at present.
Last season, Glin Rovers finished the 18 game league season with 18 points.
Fair going from Glin and a great result today, although I think Rovers might have thrown in the towel already, not to take anything away from Glin.
They're playing League Cup games inside in Jackman Park every Wednesday without fail, I don't see why we shouldn't do the same especially with Clounreask being ten times the surface that Jackman is. Along with the fact that clubs have paid money for a grounds that they might not ever play in.
In regard to Clounreask suiting some teams more than others, having league cup games would expose the bad teams early on in the competition and get rid of them. It's not the Desmond League's fault if you can't ball.
