It's imperative that we pick up all 3 points tomorrow, other teams around us have winnable games whereas we have a bit of a sticky one up in Derry. Also a win would be very useful to take into the European game but keeping in touch with dundalk is of greater importance.

No the novelty of being back in the big time still hasn't worn off and I'm incredibly excited to be heading up to a ground like Richmond Park tomorrow night as opposed to a field with a toilet in the first division. Even though we should have beaten Pats last time we played in what was one of the best games I've seen in years, I can't see us taking anything from this one after a demoralising defeat to Galway before the break and just a lack of swagger about them team in recent weeks.

Disappointed how exactly? Should've been more? Brilliant win for us in Derry with Sheppard and dennehy keeping their form going and importantly keeping in touch with dundalk. Bring on Reykjavik

I'd think he's talking about the sloppy way we conceded the two goals.Rogers made a complete fcuk up for the 1st and himself and Boyle were at sixes and sevens for the second.Rogers did however save a pen but he's a bit dodgy and loses concentration at times.Dundalk fans tend to be over critical of the team and 6-2 wins are not good enough for some people these days.

An error strewn performance. A better team would have punished us. A huge step up is required before we play BATE.

Great result for Cork. The Brandywell is never an easy place to get three points and Derry are a physically strong side.

Great away win for Drogheda. Finished the game the stronger team and got the last minute goal.

The first half was dire stuff all around.

That's exactly how I felt at the end of the game. Very sloppy goals to give away, but then we should have scored ten goals. Really need to up the performances over the next few weeks.

Reality check massively needed for you guys...we are not Barcelona...we are comfortably beating teams ,we are current champions and looking by far the best team in the league this year...a lot of Dundalk fans need to get a grip

Stephen Kenny has set the bar high in expectations of of his team, and fans are buying in to that which is hardly surprising shep. I agree though there are a few who wouldnt be happy with beating Barcelona in the Champions League final with a 6-2 scoreline! I often wonder why they go to Oriel at all as they seem more content with a poor result and a chance to moan..

There was a bizzare situation for at least 15 mins in the second half when we had no striker. McMillan subbed for Mountney. At least two strikers on the bench too at the time, Jake Kelly and Kurtis Byrne, Kelly eventually got on for less than 10 mins.

6-2 was a good win, but it was an odd type of match, very poor defending for the Limerick goals, and just wait til you all see Limerick's first, Rogers thought it was going wide!
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

So you're not allowed make any critique of the performance if we win then? I agree we are the best team in the league but there have been a good few below par performances this season. If you were happy with the sloppy defending today then fair enough, but that Limerick team were atrocious and a better side would have punished us.

Drogs battled hard and probably deserved to nick it, although I wouldn't have complained if it was a draw.
Lee Duffy is a poor mans David Speedie, he played the lone striker very very well.
Meathdrog is right though the first half was both Lloyd and Danny Dyer.

Both Limerick goals were down to poor Dundalk defending. Two of Dundalk's were down to the Limerick keeper making blunders. Throw in an own goal as well.

I thought McMillan's 2nd was offside actually, so will be looking for that on Monday night.

We are royally f**ked basically. Extremely poor all over the pitch, and absolutely shapeless and spineless.

Bray at home next Saturday - our season could end then and there.

Well, Derry City's league record at the Brandywell since 27/06/2014 says otherwise.

    W: 4, D: 4, L: 9, F: 18, A: 20

Their last win at home in the league was on the 27/03/2015, before that it was the 05/09/2014.

Rusty & Pizza both must be in huge trouble , both team are woeful it's the worst Derry side in years. As for last night I thought Longford just rolled over and went through the motions , we barely got out second gear without three of our regulars (Fagan,Brennan,Byrne) the mom was Forrester another excellent display from him. It was the perfect game before next week now roll on Riga.
