    Down come Utd to reality

Dillo, Everton would not have been in that group most likely, they would have not been as rated as Villareal.....they would've been third seeds in AC's rgoup or something like that...

True, that never dawned on me actually!

They still could be in the CL though.

Old Trafford Sunday... could there be a better time to play them??

Any other set of fans would curse them until their dying day that they happened to wear their team's colours. That in a nutshell sums up how special the bond is between both the greats and not so greats of Liverpools past and its supporters... Liverpool, on the other hand, is different. Not only to Rovers, but to any other club.
Why is it that so many people delude themselves that their fan culture is better than anyone else's? Man Utd fans held Forlan in that same light - hell, UCD fans rate Mick O'Donnell because he tries harder than anyone for all his technical failings. It's not special.

Anyway, enough of that. Your point regards Rovers is well said.

Talking Neville comes back to haunt the mancs!

What a fine team performance by Moyes' men in Old Trafford on sunday. Some fantastic individual performances including Weir and Zizu Kilbane but Phil Neville was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch. Along with been a workhorse and a great footballer his leadership was never more evident than on sunday. ManUre must be kicking themselves for letting him go as there's no doubt he was the player with the capacity to fill the void left by Keane and not that scumbag Alan Smith. Another one of Ferguson's many mistakes on the transfer markets...

Next up is the hammers in Goodison on wednesday night followed by Big Sam and co on saturday. The blues may well be sitting in a very healthy league position come saturday night!

I have to agree with you for once on this thread Dillo. I thought Phil Neville was outstanding......outstandingly ugly! I've always thought he was better than his rat of a brother and its proving to be the case now. He's been Everton's best performer all season and is only now starting to get genuine credit for his ability.

The countdown is beginning to the 28th now. The derby is about all Everton's season has ever amounted to and it should be no different this year. Liverpool on the other hand have the biggest of fish to fry in the new year

Good things come to those who wait....

Mikey better start getting off that massage table and get out scoring or he'll be behind little Crouchy..

Afterall - which is better - 10 goals out of 35 matches played for €10m or 10 goals out of 10 matches played for €25m? Who would you think had more influence on the team's results over the season?
