Ipswich boss Joe Royle has hailed teenager Owen Garvan for his maturity and tipped him for senior international honours.
Royle gave the young Dubliner his senior debut on the opening day of the season and the midfielder, who only turned 18 last month, has since cemented his place.
Royle hailed Garvan's display in the win at Norwich on Sunday and said: "For a kid to run a game like that was a magnificent achievement. "He has steadily grown in stature over the past six months and the great thing is that there is still more to come.
"Owen has this lovely habit of always being able to pick out a team-mate with his passes, short or long, and I can see him going on to win a lot of caps for Ireland."

RISING star Owen Garvan lit up the East Anglian derby and then proclaimed that the 2-1 win will give everybody connected with Ipswich Town a huge lift.
Garvan, 18 last week, was man of the match in a Championship derby that saw the Blues much too good for Norwich City at Carrow Road yesterday.
The Irish youth international faces a ban next week after picking up his fifth booking of the season in the game that was televised live on satellite television.
“This is just the result that will give everybody connected with Ipswich Town a huge lift,” said ace midfielder Garvan.
“Our fans will enjoy it, and they deserve to be rewarded for their support, which was fantastic again yesterday.
“Club officials will take heart from it, and the management will be pleased to gain a deserved three points in such a big match.
“And as far as the players are concerned it will do our confidence no harm at all. We are still aiming for the play-offs.
“Hopefully we can give our fans many more days like the one they enjoyed yesterday.”
Garvan, who was booked for dissent when Leeds won a controversial penalty late on in last Tuesday's 1-1 draw, received a yellow yesterday for a lunge at Robert Earnshaw.
This brought his season's tally to five and he is set to miss next Tuesday's match at Crewe.
“We fully deserved our success, and the win was a wonderful delayed 18th birthday present for me,” added Garvan, who made his debut at the start of the season.
He is part of a new side that manager Joe Royle is building and the Blues were much too good for the Canaries despite having a spot of fortune in both goals.
