Stumbled on site myself,
Great history and whoever is behind it deserves a pat on the back.
I myself have nearly got a correct list of all finalists for Connacht Junior finals.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Someone has helped by posting in Wikipedia details of Connacht junior cup finals
You may be interested in research by Paul Gunning published last year about soccer in Connacht. It is rather idiosyncratically entitled Association Football in the Shamrock Shire’s Hy Brasil: The ‘Socker’ Code in Connacht, 1879–1906 and written in rather unusual style, but it presents clear evidence of very early association football in Sligo: a 'first phase' from 1879-82 and then again from 1887.
Very significant stuff. Unfortunately if you don't have access to the Soccer & Society journal there is a fee to read it.

Re last post, for those interested in early soccer history in Ireland will find this a very interesting read.
