Papering over the cracks a lot again but I'm glad we won it.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

The Kazakh players don't seem to be picking up as many injuries now.

Awful as the performance was, I'd have taken 2-1 before the match.

Great win. It was never in doubt, just a matter of time before we got the goals we needed I figured.

Jeez, talk about 3 points stolen. I guess this (partially) makes up for the late goals we've conceded down the years.

I backed a 2-1 win, at 4/1, happy days. Indian meal tomorrow night and a bike for the wee man! (For CD)

    Over ....
2-1 a decent result even it was a terrible performance. Flights, the pitch, the heat I dont really want to hear any of that as we were totally outplayed by a pretty poor team - I'm dreading the match in Torshaven now.

I don't think we'll come 2nd in this group and I think Trap will leave at the end of qualification in 2 years. But it was vital we didnt lose tonight as it could have been catastrophic for our ranking and we could have had a nightmare group for France 2016

No fecking highlights on my stream, they just pulled the plugs a minute after the final whistle
And I paid £3 for that!!!

Still can't grumble must be Ireland's biggest escape ever.

That was one of the worst performances I've seen by an Irish team. Papering over the cracks is right. Relieved we won all the same. Off to Brandywell so will reply more after digesting wtf just happened. Bit dazed..

a loss would have made the manager's position untenable, even the win papers over the cracks.
the manager's position has gone from untenable to barely acceptable in the space of five minutes. the expectations from the year's remaining fixtures mean that there will be a stay of execution, but for me the countdown is on now for Trapattoni's replacement

Fair play to Kevin Doyle. On his own he changed the game. But it is going to be death by a thousand cuts with Trapatonni still in charge. Delaney is no fool and will know the end is nigh for this guy.

We were bloody awful but I will take the win.

It will be a long qualifying campaign if we keep playing like today.

I said at half time to trust in Mr Trapattoni.

There's more than one way to skin a Rabbit or as Mr Trapattoni would say " the cat was in the sack but the cat can get out at any time"

    Brazil here we come!
