Garda Siochana trojan virus.

Laptop is locked down and has this trojan looking for a ukash £100 stg to be paid to Garda for a fine for watching illegal stuff,anybody know how to get rid of it?,only way to get laptop going is in safe mode.

If you're on a PC I would run msconfig and eliminate any programs that are set to start on Startup that shouldn't be there. Also go in to AppData and clear the Temp folder as well as anything suspicious in Local or Roaming. If you can get it to run I'd use Hitman Pro which will likely get rid of it.

Follow the simple guidelines on this page. Took me 5 minutes to get rid of my problem after a couple of hours research
