Ok clever, but more than a little obscure.
Btw, isn't this the third separate thread in his, er, honour?
Must be a foot.ie first?
Here's an article on his dream start and a bit about the path that got him there as well:http://sc1sports.com/dream-start-at-...james-mcclean/
Will he make the squad for the cup? If he performs for Sunderland?
Starts for Sunderland today along with O'Shea. Meyler on the bench.
Where is Westwood today?
Always look on the bright side of life
Injured in training.
James has done well so far. Couple of crosses in and a shot on target. Overran it a couple of times but more to do with no options in front of him.
Has been tracking zabaleta well all day.
looks a good player at this level, defended well all game and dangerous when in possesion, final ball hasn't been the best though but defo promising
He's tenacious.
That's some support Sunderland have got going at Roker pk.
It's The Stadium of Light!
Went to NQ's testimonial there;great day out besides a few hostile natives...
I still see loads of tricolours and Ireland scarves there on TV.
In Stuttgart in '06 we met a fourth (I think, but definitely at least 3rd) generation Irish guy called Peter, a big bald Mackem, who had a tricolour with the names of all the Irish in or around the Sunderland team. Delap, Clive Clarke, everyone. He worshipped big Mick.
For all of my / our issues with the EPL, the last round of games was enthralling. Credit where it's due.
McClean did well and his efforts were recognised by the commentators. Good to see Meyler in the match day squad too. MON likes his midfielders to have a bit of bite so Meyler might have a chance soon.
Looking good so far against Wigan, might be even more effective if he had something other than a donkey to aim at.

Hard to get a good view of the goal on my stream, I think it is blowing a gale there, perhaps?
To me it looked like the wind did the work rather than the ball being bent round the wall but bit hard to tell.
Goal McClean! Jones loses the ball deep in his own half, ball comes in from the right, McClean ghosts in and somehow misses as he barely gets anything on the header, fortunately for him Mignolet's touch comes back out to him and he this time he finds the goal with his header...2-0 Sunderland.
