Elroy, I think the standout result in this campaign was the first game in Armenia which really set us up on the front foot. After that, Macedonia away was important and the timing was crucial too.

Anyway, I had a funny night. I got to the Aviva in plenty of time but my swipe card season ticket didn't work. A FAI steward took it away to check it. 15 mins later he came back saying it was OK and he walked away. I tried it again and still no joy. I could hear the anthems being played so I climed up over the turnstile. My mate was on the other side. I was finely balanced on the top, upper body flopped down inside, feet and legs still the other side. A steward then came and grabbed my feet, pulled me back and got really arsey with me. I explained what had happened and got the original steward to come back. After a bit more talking he brought me to another gate, let me in and told me to go to the top of the stairs and take the lift to level 5 to get to my seats. I did what he said but when I got to the top of the stairs I realised I was in the Vantage / posh area with beer on tap. So I enjoyed the rest of the first half with a nice cold Guinness standing at the open doorway out onto the seats. Great view. At half time I went back to my normal seats but not before buying a cheap bottle of fizzy wine and stuffing it down my jumper with 6 plastic glasses. As the ref blew for time I cracked open the bubbly and shared it out with my mates and 2 grateful guys beside me!

    Great night.

Too small to make out, you mean the guy with his face obscured or the guy near Given's hand? If you upload to an imagehost site (like TinyPic) you could post full size.

Gonna have to wait till the first game I think.
It may have sunk in last night as we downed our sixth shot and then the impromptu sing song in the crowd as we were asked to leave the Globe.
Proceeded to annoy the Occupy Dame St crets with our shouts of "We gotta game, we gotta game, we gotta game to win".

Great night out. SO happy I was off work today.

Sad that this is the last 16 team tournament, but delighted we are there for it.

It's gonna be a fun few months in the lead up to it.

That Richard Dunne flag "The Iron Curtain" is brilliant. I saw the picture on RTE on Friday and assumed it was a T-shirt. If it was, I'd buy one.

wow what a week for me some stories to boot as well.

Terrible game, Ward offers far more than kilbane going forward. Im still suspect of him at the back. Im begining to think that the 4-0 was out of character and just one of those nights as opposed to something we have been building up to.

Anyway we qualified great night was had in flannerys and coppers and ray houghton not taking any pics as he tried to skip the queue into coppers

This one I took is slightly out of focus. It was more for the Sligo Hornets flag and I wonder is that our Sligo Hornet?

I must have passed ten people selling programmes on the way towards the stadium. For some reason I decided to wait until we got into the ground to buy them but they were all sold out. In the unlikely event that any of you have a spare (or a couple of spares) I'd be really grateful if you could PM me. Obviously I would pay for the postage as well. Thanks!

Incidentally, that Richard Dunne flag, among others, was stolen by some scumbags and the YBIG lads are out for blood to get it back

Apparently a couple of those flags were stolen the other night, the god save the queen one and I think the iron curtain one included. Terrible. The YBIG lads went to collect them after the game and they were gone. Like what anyone would be stealing them for god only knows. But if anyone has any info please get in touch
