Delighted by tonights result, can hardly believe it, it just felt so satisying to see the lads deliver so conclusively when it really mattered in a game. It has been a while, very enjoyable.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
Just woke up hungover as hell. Don't care even a little bit. Still buzzing. Put 'em under pressure will pretty much be on a loop today.
I reckon it's time for another song. Football teams releasing songs for tournaments, cup finals, etc is surely so unfashionable it's bound to be retro by now.

David Kelly of the Irish Independent is a clown. He doesn't seem to have much time for Robbie Keane either. Very negative slant taken in some parts of his article today.
Andrey Stepanov compounded an earlier indiscretion on McGeady with an attempted decapitation of Keane. No matter that Keane's efforts had already been of the headless variety.
Continuing to intelligently track the play, he loitered patiently as McGeady and Keane interlinked, the former's shot allowing the captain to find his partner with a speculative lobbed cross.
David Kelly seems reluctant to give Keane any credit bar: Keane's assassin-like predatory instinct was the cue for Ireland's supporters to delve into depths of feeling that have remained reserved for so long and also.
This reporter seems to have knives out for Keane and Trap. What his problem?

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
I'm delighted we're now likely to qualify while the Euro's are still 16. There is respect in qualifying for the tournament prior to the expansion to 24. A number of countries will be in the bracket of being there because of the expansion. Thankfully we are not like to be one of them!Barring a Devon Loch nightmare.

Whatever gets us through, I don't care. If it's 8-16-24-32 teams, so be it.
The top 2 will qualify out of the group, and a number of 3rd places. In the finals, 16 of the 24 sides, including the 4-best 3rd placers will make the knockout phase, so we have a great chance of going quite far.

Legendz, Kelly has it in for Trap and Keane and has done for ages. His article comparing Keane to O'Driscoll recently was a joke, but lots of similar guff has preceded it.
Well, how is everyone this morning?

There's been a few mentions on the thread about the union jack flags in the stadium, and Ken Early mentioned in the build up to the game on Newstalk that one of the flags is a permanent fixture in the stadium, so I checked it out.
The black, white and blue union jack is the flag of the Estonian navy, known as the naval jack - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estonian_Navy
According to this post on Ready To Go (Sunderland fan site) - http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showpos...63&postcount=2 - St George's Day is the anniversary of a revolution in Estonia, the St George's Night Uprising - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._George's_Night_Uprising - so it's nothing to do with England
There's a link on that post to this (rather long) article on the history of St George's Day in Estonia - http://www.folklore.ee/folklore/nr1/georg.htm
Hungover, but yet with that wonderful spring in my step that I had when I got laid for the first time.
The panel last night were miserly in their appraisal of McGeady's cross to Andrews. Sure Andrews met the ball perfectly and did all the work to turn the chance into a goal, but McGeady's lob to his head, over two covering players, was as good as could be done in the circumstances, by even the most skillful player.

Yeah... Thought that myself. Was a good cross in a difficult situation I thought.
Was delighted fro Ward, Andrews ande Keane. Walters done well.
Not keen on Duff on the right wing any more though..
I've never seen David Kelly and 'Blake Steidler' in the same room. Just sayin'.
Still high as a kite. Hardly any rest and don't feel any worse for it. Mighty stuff!
Yep that cross has seen McGeady soar in my estimations, it is what is know as 'end product' so I don't think we can say he has no
end product any more, and I think he played a key part in the second goal. Seems like the move to Russia has done him good.

What a game. What a night. Thank you.
