I had intended to edit the OP with the information when it was to hand but it seems I don't have the option to edit my own post??
You can't edit your posts once 24 hours has passed. Only the mod (The Boss) can do it after that time frame.
Derry v Rovers game kicks off at 2.00pm on Saturday.
MOD, can you please update my OP to reflect all the information now available. Thanks.
Done.
City win 2-0 to advance to the final.
McCrudden and Harkin with the goals.
Anyone have the result from Bray?
Bray 1-3 UCD
Absolulty shocking performance from ref Rhona Daly!!!! How the FAI have her in charge of games is unbelievable!!!
Best of luck to UCD in the final...
Is there a date set for the final?
Not to go on but it's disappointing to see the curtain go down on the A Championship. UCD, Derry, Shamrock Rovers, Limerick and Finn Harps are clubs who seem to react positively to fielding a reserve team. Only one other team is needed for a 20 game season over 4 series, for example:
Derry City A
UCD A
Shamrock Rovers A
Finn Harps A
Limerick A
Tralee Dynamos?
For a first team to qualify for a promotion/relegation play-off with the team finishing last in the First Division, they would have to be the highest first team and finish in the top third of the division.

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
Harps would not be entering a side if we had to travel to Limerick and Tralee.
Im pretty sure if you don't have to enter a side then Derry will not go with it either (as they did last season when in the 1st Division)
Yeah, Nigel was making that point as well. If it's a non-runner, it's a non-runner. Just thought aspiring clubs should be playing nationally instead of regionally, with a few reserve teams on board, could've been an option but clearly travel etc. is an issue.
