Keogh and O'Dea. Not the most inspiring of substitutes really.

I've gotten bored - apparently Paddy McCourt is running the show on his own for NI, two lovely goals in a 4-0 win. Derry Pele finally getting to show what it's all about.

Boring enough, but a clean sheet, and a good get together.

We've come over all Italian defensively of late. Bring on Slovakia.

What a terrible, boring waste of time that match was, have to feel for the people who paid to see it.

The ref did well on those 2 penalty appeals, seriously.
They would have been at the softest side of legitimacy. An arm around the body is not a penalty. An opposition player falling to the ground in the penalty area, pretending it was the arm made him fall, didn't fool the canny ref.

up there with the worst Irish friendlies ever, that one. Not even the Karlovacko could brighten that one!
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Would have liked to see Clark getting a run.....he looked genuinely disappointed not to get a run.

Igor on Sky thinks we are missing something, a decent midfielder, someone who can retain and distribute the ball.
    10/10 for Igor.

Packie wants balls into the box, put them under pressure.
Time has passed Packie by, leaving his 90's innocence untouched.

0-0 against a team ranked 9th in the world? Not sure you can hope for better than that.

Our friendlies revert to type after the pleasing win against Italy and bizarre entertainment against Uruguay. Clean sheet for largely our first choice defence, very good. Glad it's over with - on to the important stuff.

    oh yeah, the FIFA rankings...

In fairness to both teams - in fact all teams playing today - absolutely terrible timing for friendlies. Who's smart idea was this date?

Rubbish, rubbish timing. But there's always an international friendly date in early August isn't there? To my mind usually seems to happen just after the Prem season kicks off.

Aye, they have to look at changing it. tonight was essentially a pre season friendly. Neither side wanted to lose, and no one wanted to get injured.

If it gave Trap a chance to get his ideas across even a fraction more, then it'll of been worth it.
