Cheers worm, last I can find on Callaghan is a trial with Exeter from 2008

Patrick Cregg played in the Cosmos Copa NYC tournament* last week as an "overseas draftee": http://irishecho.com/?p=65720
He cited in particular 25-year-old Patrick Cregg, one of three “overseas” draftees allowed, who began his career with a handful of appearances with Arsenal in the league cup in 2004-2005. The Dubliner Cregg has since played 144 games in the Scottish Premier League for Falkirk, Hibernian and lately St. Mirren and has won Under-19 and Under-21 honors for Ireland.

“You could see he was a class above in terms of his technical ability, his awareness,” said the Ireland boss. “And as the tournament goes on, he will improve.

“A lot of MLS [Major League Soccer] teams are watching him during this tournament,” added Grogan, whose own Manchester United career was cut short by injury
    <EDIT>

Ireland went out in the quarter finals, losing 3-1 to Mexico with Cregg grabbing the goal: http://cosmoscopa.com/news/quarterfinal-recap

According to this - http://www.mls-rumors.net/18208/2011...g-to-fc-dallas - he could be moving to FC Dallas

Is David Elebert still at Hamilton Academical?
He's not in the squad list on wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamilto...#Current_squad - and, bizarrely, there's no squad list on the Accie's official site - http://www.acciesfc.co.uk/

Interesting that Haiti got beat so bad, they had quite a few full internationals in that team. Perhaps you should offer your services to those folks Tets, that site is atrocious.

David Elebert was released, one poster on a Accies forum said he's off to Cyprus (no idea about that though his teammate Mickael Antoine-Curier did just move to Cyprus).

Conor Henderson stretchered off for Arsenal. Looks like an ankle injury.

    Bit better quality here.

Great prospect, he has some naem to live up to.

On a side note, this threads title is a bit stupid given as by and large 95% of the Irish in the forum are abroad.

I would make more sense to have an Irish not abroad thread1!

Also I just realise he has two names to live up to, Robbie Keane and Liam Brady!!

U17 defender Steven Smith released by Arsenal: http://arsenalyouth.wordpress.com/20...bloated-squad/
Another player who has been told that his future as a footballer lies away from Arsenal is defender Steven Smith, who made 11 appearances at under-18 level last season after signing scholarship forms in summer 2010. Smith, like Edge, travelled to the Dallas Cup at the end of last season, but, after struggling with injuries last campaign, it was decided that a move would be the best option for all parties.

Just saw on SSN, Gavin Gunning gone on trial with Scunthorpe. Thats really disappointing news. Thought he was going to make big in Premiership. Kean obviously doesn't rate him. Would have hoped he would have got a Championship side, rather than a League One side

Good performance from Shay there in a friendly against Blackburn. Dunne and Clark featured, Clark from the bench.
