I think Rovers will make the group stage of the Europa League. Pat's could also if they get a bit of luck.

Why would Sligo's game have to be moved out of the country if the Showgrounds is not able to meet requirements, surely they are venues in Ireland that could host the game ?

Did they suggest they'd have to move it out of the country? Jaysus

The RDS is definitely OK. I'd imagine Tallaght would be too

Who said anthing about moving it out of the country?

The club has said they will be doing everything they can to get the game played in The Showgorunds. So here's hoping.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

They said "County", not "Country". I misread that the first time too.

Yeah, it was only "out of the county" - word is Manorhamilton Rangers are pimping for it.
"Even if the wind stops to blow
Even if the sea ceases to flow

The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning star glittering in the sky."

    They can shag off.

"You know who" are in the running from what I could gather from my esteemed source on the Shannon.

Perhaps the Sligonians can say for sure, but I reckon it's a lot easier to get from Sligo to Dublin than Sligo to Limerick. Iarnrod Éireann can run a couple of special trains to take the supporters all the way to Dublin, not so easy to get them all to Thomond.

Depends on the opposition, I'd say. If Sligo draw Stoke, I reckon at least 10,000 Stokies will come over for our first European game in almost 40 years. That's getting into RDS or Lansdowne territory, especially when you add in the bandwagon brigade who'll turn up just to see a team who live in the telly.

Would Stoke even be bandwagon enough?

    Oh, Stoke are box office!

I'd think we'd be big enough for a fair few to show up just to see them. The fact that we have a few Irish players on our books would help, of course. But most of the true barstoolers would probably still stay away. After all, it's not like Manyoo are playing a meaningless friendly against a makey-up league select.

I'm hoping for Fulham in the 3rd round myself. After cliftonville in 1st and TNS in the 2nd. Celtic in the play offs then.

Don't mind who we get in groups

Definitely easier to Dublin when you can fly in, get out the airport door in five minutes and into the RDS in seven.

Nah not a hope of us getting there, It would take us 8 games to get into the group, I see us going out in the 2nd or 3rd qualifying round
    Here on a technicality.
