I thought both teams were happy with 1-0 in the 2nd half. strange that.

Good result for Rovers still and well deserved. They are the better side and should progress but could have finished it last night. however an away goal could have been a disaster so overall a job well done.

Strange game in ways. Rovers could have won by five, yet if that penalty had gone in 2 minutes before the goal, it could have been very tricky for them. Rovers finishing was awful. Some good approach work, but the final ball was almost always missing. A feature of the game was their astonishing ability to keep giving the ball away from their persistent tactic of taking short corners. At one point, seeing the possibility of another short corner, the crowd reacted in horror, and as a result, it seemed to me, the ball was launched directly into the box.
I think Rovers will probably score in the return, so hope and expect them to get through.

Didn't see the match, but from here, it sounds a little bit similar to Bohs' 1-0 win over TNS last season? Nice way to be tempting fate!

As long as we're away first, that'll do me.
1-0 is a good result in Europe. Score an away goal and its as good as over. Important for shams not to concede early (TNS ) but if they are patient and keep it tight they will get a chance or two to score that vital away goal.
decent result, but would not even look at possible (next) opponents until job is done.

Good luck to Linfield tonight. I'm sure most of us like to see Irish clubs do well, whether they be north or south of the border.

    The Model Club

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

It was more of a 4-3-3 with Dennehy and Kelly pushing on, and O'Donnell and Finn sitting in behind. It's about as attacking a formation as Michael O'Neill has put out in an important match.

Just for reference - Flora Tallinn's European Record:

    UEFA Cup / Europa League
    P26 W3 D7 L16

    Champions League
    P11 W1 D2 L8

    Overall
    P37 W4 D9 L24

If Rovers don't beat Tallinn next week then you'd have to ask serious questions...

That's quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

    definitely low in polyunsaturates.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

the theory behind Turners performance and goal yesterday as espoused by one of our mb posters

Turner was obviously much more at ease surrounded by blonde haired, blue eyed people - it meant he could just concentrate on his game rather than abuse opponents
