Subbed off shortly after the hour; didn't seem to have much of an impact going by the BBC updates (only mentioned once - for being offside - and they were generally second best for much of the game, even though they won and stayed up).
Starts today for Wigan against Stoke.

Wigan barely touched the ball in the first half but he was busy and made some good runs. Cleverley came on and made a difference with his ability to pick up the ball in deeper positions. Sammon had a snot moments before being subbed he should have done better with having made the chance himself.
He took to it like a fish out of water.
Sammon was very disappointing from what I saw. Struggled to get into the game, but Wigan were dour all over the pitch.
Oh dear. How did that happen? Shot.
Deserves a call up for the Celtic Cup games, especially with all the withdrawals.

Glad he escaped relegation. Would have been sorry to see him once consigned to be the "big fish in the small pond", but on the fish theme, isn't it strange how many fish related names have exceeded in football (wait for it)
