Given must be fed up - every time he's played recently he's conceded through no fault of his own.

Bit of a shame as well because we were outplaying them. They've shown nothing but lazy long throws so far.

1-1. We conceded all initiative since the 20 minute mark. Hard to tell why given that we look better on the ball than off it. Moral courage - get on it.

I'm getting about 10 secs out of ever minute, enough to see that free kick though. Boo hiss.

As to the gambling - not officially allowed on the Chinese mainland (though tell that to the old folk playing mahjong on every street), but Macau now rakes in more cash than Las Vegas!

    Have Lawrence and Fahey switched?

EDIT: Apparently Long was out right for a moment with Lawrence behind Doyle...why wouldn't Duff be behind Doyle?

Lawrence makes more sense. Duff better hugging the touchline, than through the middle, where he's most intelligent. Lawrence has the required strength, movement and quick passing to really hurt from that position. Seems he got switched out towards the end of the half anyway. Could see McGeady in there second half.

pretty tepid stuff, hard for the players probably. dead atmosphere and the fear of injury. please let us get a look at coleman at least in the 2nd half.

Wasn't bad, we started excellently but never likely we'd maintain it and Norway remain that poor. Game quality has diminished significantly but second half could be very good with some interesting substitutions. We should really win this game.

Probably, often have issues watching Ireland games, but every time my Kiwi flatmate wants to watch them play rugby or cricket, seems to work just fine...

I'm happy enough so far. Was a weak goal to concede, although if Kelly hadn't handed it, your man would probably have been clean through. Can't help but think that Given would have saved the free if he was playing regularly.

This one has worked perfectly for me since I opened it. I even enjoyed the women's weightlifting at half-time.

Very much like the look of Cunningham.

Still not fully convinced by Fahy in the flat midfield 4. Tried a few things in their third that hasn't come off.

Lawrence needs to get the jayzus away from Portsmouth. Too good.

Long must be difficult to keep motivated. Always plays well for us given his sporadic appearances. Plus the cup runs for Reading etc.. Probably gone stale for him there in then C'Ship.

Will reserve judgement on O'Dea seeing he's just back from injury. Looked to have gotten caught for that short straight at given late on.
I pity the fool!.... But suggest ways that he might improve himself.
