    City v Longford

How do people see this one going, how many will we get for this game ?
City 2-0 Longford for me, Davin and Graham Cummins with the goals.

This will be a very tough game with the lads gone to america and the injuries. We're down to the bare bones of a squad. A draw would be a good result.

I would take a draw too.. We have lost our last three games generally we are playin a lot more football than last season so hopefully the draw would kickstart our season.. It will be nice to be in the horseshoe again after nearly three long years..
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

I'd take a draw as well considered the squad is down to the bare bones now. Hopefully we dont get tanked though.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Who've ye got missing?. If ye have decent strikers playing ye'll score against us we're leaking goals like crazy at the moment. We're also scoring lots though so it could be an entertaining game. Won't be there myself, would think there might be 20 or so going down in cars.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

We only had 10 outfield players train 2 days ago.

    Greg O Halloran is suspended.
Eoin Forde, Willie Hefferenan and John Dineen are in the states with stiofan naofa.
    Gearoid Morrisey is out injured.
Stephen Mulcahy, Uros Hojan and Cathal Lordan are doubtful because of injury (50/50 apparently)

It could have been more than 1-0 last night, Davin had a great game for us and missed a few good chances.
Still delighted wit the result overall.

Longford hit the post twice and the Cork goal shouldn't have been allowed for a foul in the build up. I think you were lucky to get the win.

We'll take 'em anyway we can now to be honest. Three wins on the bounce now, happy days, roll on Shels (in the league)

the cork goal should never have stood as there definitley was a clear foul on one of our lads in the runup to the goal.. we were all over ye in the first half.. McNulty was immense for ye.. Second half we werent as strong attacking wise. Aaron Shanahan, Cathal Brady and Fiachra McArdle were the best players for us.. We played way better than the previous week against Derry.

I am hoping that our bad luck will end soon as its not nice losin the whole time and when will we ever get a clean sheet?

If you're talking about Cummins outmuscling your defender, no it shouldn't have been disallowed. The Longford right-winger was very impressive in the first-half and Longford definitely look dangerous in attack. But I thought we could have and should have put 2 or 3 goals on the board in the 2nd half. Well worth our win IMO.

With all these "lucky" wins it's only a matter of time before we're shown up

that longford right winger was Fiachra McArdle who was with Fingal last season.. that was one of his rare starts for us.. he is a crackin player and should be in the first team more often.. great to catch up with a few of yer old heads in the horseshoe before the game..
