Does that mean they get promoted again? Last time they got promoted they get obliterated (I think one game was 22-0)

Yeah it means they are promoted. They last 2 years in Division 2 last time I think. Realistically a long-term stay in Division 2 would be the aim but I reckon Ireland would be doing very well to maintain said status for an extended period on this occasion.

    Well Done to them,

Just a question? Can the Hockey team use NON Irish players from different Countries who's Parents/Grand Parents were Irish, just like the Football.
If so, surely there are some American or Candian players out there that would qualify.
If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later

FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT

I believe its the same rules where as long as you have a passport/are a citizen you can play for a country.

No, they only lasted one year and were blown out in all or most of their games.

Ah yes, just checked the results. A 7-4 loss was their best result. The other promoted team, New Zealand, also went straight back down but had far more dignified scorelines.
