Ok a link, but not on US cricket (I know what I read!) but for recent events, worth sharing....

Ireland, despite a hammering Saturday are going much better against Pakistan today in Belfast, currently 154-2, (Paul Stirling 100 n.o.) 35 ovs.
Innings Break:
Ireland 238-8
Fingers crossed?
Ireland 238/8
Pakistan 242/5 48.4 overs
Over 9 runs per over, the last 5 overs when it came to the crunch. Good effort from Ireland I think, big improvement from Saturday.
ICC u-turn will allow qualifying for places at the next world cup.

Ireland could play in the 2015 World Cup after the International Cricket Council (ICC) reversed its decision to reduce the tournament to 10 teams.
In April the ICC announced plans to restrict places at the next World Cup to the 10 full member nations.
As a result the likes of Ireland and Scotland would not have been able to take part.
But the sport's governing body's ongoing annual conference decided to retain the 14-team format.
That means four nations will join India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, West Indies, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at the 2015 tournament, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
BBC pundits speculating today that Australia and India have offered this concession in return for some dodgy underhand deal- perhaps permanent presidency roles?
But good news nonetheless.
Delighted, great news
Mind you it is 4 years away, seems a long time between fixtures.
They have games next month and August.....
So not really four years, but just over 2 weeks.
Check out the Irish Cricket Union site.
Have a couple of spares for Saturday at Lords if anyone's interested....
Obviously I'll be supporting India.

Anyone going on Thurs then?
Supposed to be there with one of Irish soccer's more notable fans and also our 'favourite'rotund poster....
At a wedding unfortunately and it at my home ground. Still looking for a way to watch the Shams match. The cricket may be a step too far for the missus.
Ireland doing very well so far. England are currently 172-7 after 39.2 overs, in a 42 over game!
some interesting beer bellies in those pics!
