dont worry lads, i think Crosby smokes A LOT of weed.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Meyler is in squad for Fulham game again tomorrow. Fingers crossed he will make the bench this time and get some game time:

Wow he's starting V Fulham!!
Good news
This is a huge opportunity for him. Fans reckon, Richardson is on left while Henderson is pushed out to the right with Cattermole in the centre with Meyler. Bruce must really rate him highly. Interesting to see how long Meyler will last, doubt he will be able to last the full 90

Could hardly believe it when I saw him warming up, he's raring to go. Fingers crossed for no setbacks.
Good solid opening from him .He looks really strong
he's done okay. Playing a conservative role which is fine. Dire game alright.
Great for the lad. Good news in a strange year for irish players.

off after 55 minutes, replaced by Gyan. A smart move from Bruce and great to see him get through his time on the pitch so well.

Interesting paper I found on the subject published in 2006. It carried out a study in 2002 on Serie A players recovering from varying degrees of damage to the ACL. I don't know the full extent of Meyler's injury but presume he required full ACL reconstruction (I'm open to correction). In this study there were 38 cases of arthroscopic ACL reconstruction (this was more than likely Meyler's procedure) (8%). The average time to return to competition was 7.7 months (Meyler is just under this) while one crazy guy came back in 76 days! Can get full paper in college but not able to post here. Here's the abstract for those interested:

These guys have nothing on Marvin Andrews

The sad thing is a similar injury ruled him out of the World Cup in 2006

Am looking for old Irish matches on VHS, PM me if you have some and I'll upload them here
Meyler lasted 53 mins. Gyan on
Return received very positive reviews from Sunderland supporters yesterday. They feel that he has a huge part to play in the second half of the season. While acknowledging that he was a bit of the pace at times, it was understandable after being 32 weeks out. Link to his twitter page as well:

Sunderland are a solid team, particularly at home and have a no nonsense manager in Bruce which is only good news for a lad like Meyler. I'd def back them for a top ten finish this year and hopefully Meyler will play a big role in that as the season progresses.
So Elroy would you say at this point Meyler will get on the field for Ireland in Feb? Or is it more likely he is named to the squad but stays on the bench? Or not in the squad at all? If you had to say right now what would you say?
