Just seen it there, 95 years of age and still following the Rovers and is one of very few that can say "I seen Dixie Dean play for Sligo Rovers".

Coleman for Ireland
legend, always see him in the showgrounds. sits in the sponsors box beside the press box
Fair play to him just seen it, really nice bit on him, was a good friend of my grandfather, the two of them and i think another were i think the main men in setting up Castlebar Celtic years and years ago i think or done something for Castlebar Celtic.
Very good feature. Fair play to Tom, a legend!
It'll be on RTE site again for those that missed it.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Tom Kettrick's secret to a long life "don't smoke, don't drink and eat plenty of food". What are your chances of making it to 101 nowWould be great to see in 80 years time Sligoman reminiscing about Rafael Cretaro,Matthew Blinkhorn Danny Ventre etc on Nationwide, you can even let them know you seen THE Kevin Julien play for us
.
Coleman for Ireland

Just after watching the Nationwide piece.
This is really what it is all about. Supporting your team through thick and thin and cherishing the good times but enduring the bad times. I hope some of the players have seen this piece, as it should serve as a timely motivator. Like Tom there are many of us that will follow the club we love whatever the outcome.
All we ask of committee, management and players is "Give us a team to be proud of".
"Overwhelmed"
Its nice to win trophies and all that,
But as Showgies said, all i want is that when Rovers run out that they give 100%, anything after that is a bonus.
We mightened be the biggest club, we mightened be the club that everyone wants to play for,Were not a fashionable club and probably never will but at the same time we dont mess our players around.
weve got history, tradition, and great supporters who support the team and club down through the years no matter what.
Long live Sligo Rovers
I was just thinking about this when I heard he made an appearance at half time that somebody should do an interview with him and not just a short 5minute regional feature but a proper 30-45minute thing. Just interviewing him on his Rovers memories and football in general. Dont get me wrong it was a great interview on Nationwide but its only when the likes of him and the Johnny Chaddas are going that you think about doing something.
"It's not the despair; I can handle the despair. It's the hope I can't stand." John Cleese on supporting a LOI club.
