Then you should write for fourfourtwo, it costs me over ten bucks here!! Surely they can get you a piece of that pie to cover the Irish players.![]()

How can you qualify that remark? Keith Andrews is a regular starter for a Premier League club, he made the jump from League 2 to Premiership to International without any major fuss and has been subject to transfer speculation from another Premier League club who are arguably better than the team he's with now.
As promising a player as Deeegan is comparatively he's achieved nothing.
The Irish player I'm most interested in seeing in the Premiership is Fahey, will be very interesting to see if he picks up as he finished off last year, if so he could be a genuine contender for the international squad by October

Stephen's back trainign from the cruciate injury in november, back with the ball dec/jan, i think this season is more about proving his fitness and steadying the knee, but hopefully a loan move or something would rejuvenate his career, martinez was very impressed with him at swansea until the injury, so he has built good contacts, his attitude is amazing towards the injuries you wont meet a more positive man, so here hoping for a good 2010 for him.

Slightly O/T but it's an interesting thought, has anyone looked into the possibility of an Irish style 442, mixing coverage of LOI, Irish League & coverage Irish players abroad. Could be a winning combination.
That kind of report on young Irish players would be the type of thing that would interest, there could be loads of similar types of features. Doing a special on LOI finances might be a tricky one though![]()

James McCarthy will now be put in this category.
this year will see what this kid has got.
I think we will be talking in a very positive manner about him come end of season i feel
Possibly one to cross off the list as we won't be seeing him in the Premiership at least until early next year:

Could be a good move for him as I don't think Allardyce would have given him many opportunites this season.

Am looking for old Irish matches on VHS, PM me if you have some and I'll upload them here
Keith Treacy started for Sheffield United in their 1-1 draw at Middlesboro last night. By all accounts he had a solid if unspectacular debut. It will be interesting to see if he can maintain his place in a Sheffield United team I expect to be pushing towards the top end of the table.
Alan Judge came on as a substitute for Plymouth in their game against Palace. I'd expect him to be a regular starter for them again this season his transfer possibly just coming a little too late to push himself into the starting 11 today.
Judge should have a good season at Plymouth if he steers clear of injury.
In todays Independent (English version), It has 10 players to look out for during the coming season and includes Joe Murphy of Scunthorpe.
Also had Liam Feeney, who was born in England but I dont think has any international caps. With a name like that would be interesting to know his ancestry?
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?
"No, I drink to help me mind my own business....can I get you one? (c) Ronnie Drew
Watched the game, didn't really look up to much to be honest (didn't look bad, just didn't stand out), and was substituted on 60 minutes.
The real Irish star in that game was Mark Yeates who should have been named man of the match for Boro. All action performance- I didn't realize he had so much fight in him! He seemed like a right footed blend of Stephen Hunt's attitude and Andy Reid's class.
Doran is playing some part in most of Blackburn's pre season games. He'll definitely be making a lot of sub appearances for Blackburn once the premiership starts.
James Wallace for Everton...
Oh no, wait. He's not really Irish at all. Not one bit.
