    That's a winnable tie for Derry. They're winnable ties all round for the Irish teams really apart from the two Austrian teams.

    quick predictions:

    sligo to go through and narrowly lose to Rapid

    Bohs to squeak by

    Pats to get to the third qual round although on probaly a 1-0 agg

    Derry - I don't know what to think - Skonto have a great history. At a glance they don't appear to have hardened internationals up front or in midfield. They could have a shot at it.

    I would have taken Skonto any day.

    Last few seasons they haven't been great:

    # 2007

    * First Qualifying Phase
    o Jul 13 Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) 1:1
    o Jul 27 Dinamo Minsk 0:2

    # 2006

    * First Qualifying Phase
    o Jul 13 Jeunesse d'Esch (Luxembourg) 2:0
    o Jul 27 Jeunesse d'Esch 3:0
    * Second Qualifying Phase
    o Aug 10 Molde FK (Norway) 0:0
    o Aug 24 Molde FK 1:2

    Hopefully we can take them. Will be an amazing trip for those that go as well. Ragin I can't afford it.

    Won the league 14 times in a row from 1991. They have been on a downward turn since 2005 though, and they don't seem to have ever done anything great in Europe. I'm confident.

    It's winnable and it's not going to bankrupt the club in getting there.

    I'm happy.

    Won't be able to travel but have been in Riga before and it's a great wee place. Plety of craic to be had.

    I expect Bohmians to give Salzburg a real hard game, and I think Bohs will sneak it.

    Sligo have a good chance providing they get players back and some form going into the game.

    Pats should go through, it would be a big disappointment if they were to get beat by one of them teams.

    Derry again have a great chance, they should get by those games, could be an amazing year this year. I think Bohs have a great chance to make the Champions League this year.

    Salzburg are not as good as people think, they have one player Janko, if you can stop him, you stop them.

    highly enjoyable

    If you understand any german this is a good read.

    They referred to dalymount as "a bit mad" when compared to croke park. (where they initially thought the game would be on)

    So is he, considering he changed it from Pereplyotkin when he decided he was Latvian!

    bohs to get knocked out over 2 legs.
    pats...with quigley out now, i can see them going out. could be most disappointing.
    sligo rovers - hard to tell. very small squad, not to hopefull here.
    derry city - best hope i reckon. derry to go through there.

    hope im wrong on 3 of these.

    Its actually his name translated from Ukrainian to Latvian although it has Russian letters in it. I assume he got Latvian citizenship because he was playing over there for a few years now.

    Not at all!

    Nah I just don't think they'll get through against decent Austrian team. I still think they are gonna have to cut their squad drastically this window, so I don't think they'll be good enough.
