Galway United v St Patrick's Athletic Both Teams To Score Yes @ 10/11 - I think this could be an open game and the possibility of both scoring could be a real threat.

Sporting Fingal v Limerick Half-Time/Full-Time Sporting Fingal / Sporting Fingal @ 10/11 - Fingal are flying along now and should win this one with ease. Full time -V- Part time surely the double result will be on the cards.

Finn Harps v Shelbourne No Finn Harps Goalscorer @ 6/5 - although Shels will have a makeshift defence tonight it’s hard to see Harps scoring tonight. They have scored 8 so far this season, 5 of them coming from Gethins who happens to be suspended tonight. Shels have played 9 games in all competitions so far, they’ve kept clean sheets in 6 of those. Harps not scoring looks good.

Drogheda United v Derry City To Win to Nil Derry City @ 7/5 - Derry should bounce back tonight. Drogheda have been hard to break down this season but they have a few players missing tonight. Drogs can barely score this season and they couldn’t score last week against Sligo even when they had 2 men sent off.

Cork City v Sligo Rovers To Score in Both Halves Cork City @ 17/10 - the value on a Cork win has dried up so we had to look for an alternative and this could be the one. Cork are moving along nicely now. Sligo travel down with a depleted squad with over 6 players missing. Cork scoring in both halves in a real possibility.

This is just a ‘fun’ acc @ 51/1 but I’m very confident I’ll get at least 3 up. 0.25 pts (Powers)

Also did an early treble last week with Hills:

    Shels @ 8/11
    Fingal HT?FT @ 8/11
    Cork @ 8/15

    0.5 pts @ 7/2 (Hills)

    Finn Harps -V- Shelbourne

Shelbourne travel to the North-West with a mini defensive crisis with up to 3 decent defenders missing. However, Keely should be able to rejig the defence with minimal fuss. Harps will be missing their top scorer so they will find it hard to break down Shels’ back 4 either way. The away side should have enough in midfield and up front to destroy the dismal Donegal side, they are the only side to drop points to Kildare so far. Ballybofey would usually be a daunting place to visit in the hope of gaining 3 points but this won’t be the case tonight. The Finn Harps fans are fearful of a whipping tonight and that makes me even more confident. Rumours bouncing about that the Harps manager is sueing a loyal supporter and the fans have been calling for his head for quite some time now. Surely this will affect the players on the pitch also. There’s a real possibility that Shels could run riot tonight with a 3 or 4 nil scoreline. However, just medium stakes for me tonight due to Shels defence, otherwise it would be a max bet.

    Backing Shels @ 1.9 (Betdaq) - 2pts.

    Galway V St Pat's.

Galway are full strength for the first time this season with John Russell back in midfield and Sean Kelly back from being unavailable against Cork. Galway aren't on the best of runs with only 1 win in the last 7 but Pat's have been equally as bad, if not worse - losing 4 of their last 5 and lucky to beat Drogs at home. United hammered Pat's on the opening day and although I don't expect the same performance Pat's haven't improved much since and are missing Jason Gavin through suspension. I think United will definitely score and I'd make them favourites for this but will play it safe on the Draw no Bet market.

    3pts United DnB @ 1.98 Betdaq (1.95 Bet365)

    Rovers v Bray

Rovers playing very well at the moment with Gary Twigg on fire. Bray aren't on the best of form and although I think they're a lot better than people give them credit for I think they'll struggle in Tallaght.
Rovers are pretty short to win but you can back them at 6/4 to win with a clean sheet with Boyles which looks much more attractive. Can definitely see this finishing 1-0 or 2-0

2pts Rovers to win with a clean sheet @ 6/4 Boyles

    Cork v Sligo

Will Sligo have a team?!? I'm guessing all the "doubts" will have to play but they're still pretty strechted at the back. Cork are playing very well and worth backing at Hackett's 4/7 and a double with 1/2 Bohs at home to Dundalk looks pretty safe.

    3 pts Cork v Sligo @ 4/7 Hacketts

    2pt double Cork @ 4/7, Bohs @ 1/2 - Hacketts.

I feel a bit like Jeremy Chapman in the Racing Post - throw money at every game and something's bound to click!

UCD should comfortably pick up the 3 points tomorrow against a poor Longford side. They were comfortably dispatched by Fingal last week, and I find it hard to see past another defeat for them. The talk on Longford's forum doesn't reflect positively on Alan Gough's regime, and I'm banking on that continuing to hamper their form. UCD scraped an injury time victory over Mervue last week, although we shouldn't read too much into that, considering Mervue gave fellow promotion hopefuls Shelbourne a hard time in Galway as well.

I am very, very tempted to go with the -1 handicap at 2.05 odds with Bet365, but the fact that Longford haven't had many heavy defeats forces me to go with the win-draw-win. Crap odds, but it builds up.

    Backing UCD (Betfair) @ 1.33 - 2.5 pts
Sweet. Sorry I didn't take the -1, but I'll take the winnings.

Fingal screwed over a lot of people last night, by the looks of things.

What are you going for, eL Bettor? Ht/ft, handicaps?

Looked at the Youths' team news and, although it's only Kildare, they have 9 players out injured. That, along with the possible new manager effect, is enough for me to stay away.

I've rolled over some of last night's winnings on to Waterford at 1.44.

I also think Athlone are a bet tonight - about evens on the exchanges - I backed them at 5/6 with Boyles thinking I wouldn't get any better!

Wexford 4 wins from 5, Kildare terrible, new manager or not, no need for further analysis.

    Cork - 1(AH).
The odds on this have fallen from about 1.95 to 1.8 since I placed my bet on Wed morn so I dont know if its worth it any more.

    Shels @ 1.93.

Despite the lack of optimism on this forum, I've backed Shels. Reading the Harps forum , none of their fans give themselves a hope. Conor Gethins suspended for Harps also.

    Fingal v Limerick - under 2.5 @ 1.77
Limerick have 5 from the last 6 as unders. The only overs was vs Kildare. Fingal have 5 from 8 unders, 5/7 if discounting the Kildare annihilation. Limerick under Scully playing a very defensive game vs the stronger teams, the 2 goals they conceded to Waterford last week were supposedly offside and a hotly disputed penalty.
2 wins (counting Wexford bets as one), and 2 refunded stakes, not a bad weekend's betting though Harps-Shels game postponed was annoying to say the least!

Brianw: yes I saw the news of the Wexford injuries which made me a bit nervous as I had my bets on already in the week. Thats the risk you take by placing the bets early anyway. Had Wexford not had the injuries and/or Kildare not appointed a new manager then the odds on Wexford would have been much lower today.

I think Doubles are worth doing rather than 4/5 teams. You can still get good value with Doubles.
